But millions of doctors do not want to be dealing with finances. My OH and all his colleagues get/got thoroughly fed up with it, having trained in medicine and not finance. It is reasonable that doctors should be consulted about priorities based on what they see happening on the ground, but they should not be responsible for commissioning or budget management as this is not their area of expertise. They truly have quite enough to do delivering medical care!

Never noticed this before, Anno.
I am a member and have been since it started. One of the founders, Dr Taylor, was an MP as an independent.
It might appear to be single issue, but it's an important issue. Dr Irvine is standing in the European elections, as are others. Ifthey get enough money, there will be a candidate to stand in Yorkshire, so I am now going to be a paid member, instead of just a member in name only.
Clive Peedell is going to stand against Cameron in 2015.
If doctors can be trusted to run the finances in the NHS, I do not see why they cannot be trusted to run the economy as well as Cameron and his millionaire cronies.

.... will be on BBC 1's Big Question tomorrow at 10am. I'm thinking about voting for this party as I all the others leave me cold. However, I'm dubious about joining a single issue party. We might have some luck if we started an anti-Gove party!
