I have spent several hours over the past few days trying to find out something about the candidates in the local elections, without success. I have tried the obvious places and although I have found out their names there is absolutely no more information about them. Can any suggest where I might find this information.

Well here's some info from yet another foot-in-mouth UKIP Fascist. What next? I shudder to think. I wonder what Mr Garbage will think of this one!

We have had nothing in the post as yet, or leaflet through the door, but there is bound to be sometime soon.I will try not to lose too much sleep thinking about it.

Anno, that was in 2012. Is he still running for office? Did he get elected then?

I have something delivered daily, the last being a leaflet about the Communities United Party which I have never heard of. This fellow is standing as an MEP not as a local candidate. Good luck to him.

Geoffrey Clark was suspended from the party and lost the election to a Conservative anyway. In 2012, as you you say, durhamjen.

Apologies - this was taken from a Facebook post and I didn't look at the date on the newspaper. blush

Our local Labour candidate was on our doorstep last week and seemed keen and interested in our local problems. The first visit from a candidate from any party for years!

Oh yes, they will all seem keen and interested [at the moment.]

Our conservative candidate turned up on the doorstep and DH got me to speak to him! Well the first thing I said was that I'd not had any information which puzzled him as apparently there'd been leaflet dropping. I said I couldn't really ask any questions because I didn't know what his proposals were. So off he went. A few minutes later the doorbell rang again and there he was armed with all sorts of bits of paper which he left with me. 11 out of 10 for getting information to me forthwith. As for the other parties I've not heard a whisper!
