Just a quick warning to anyone on here who has a vat registered business; I just received in the post, an official letter, company name on front is:
MLG, Greenford UB18 7AT. Basically the letter is informing me that as part of changes to EU Economic Package, all companies have to provide their VAT registration no on various documents. This is true. But.....you are then invited to provide further details and post the enclosed form. The small print says that by posting this form you are agreeing to terms and conditions including payment of £797.00 per annum for the listing, payable for 3 years and applied under German law. 
Just be aware, and pass this on!!! It would be easy for a busy person to just fill this in and post it.
