She wears a pair of shoes well

I've never seen Kate looking even slightly trendy when she's 'on duty'! Which I think is a shame for her and for our fashion industry.

I would be interested to read her day to day diet and then copy it!!

kitty I've seen her in jeans and a Tshirt quite a few times. At the polo last week with George for instance.
I think she dresses very appropriately usually.

I think the difference is that although Kate is now starting to look thin, she looks very healthy and full of vitality. When Diana was painfully thin she looked ill because she had an eating disorder. Kate might be living on fresh air and the odd raw carrot but I doubt she's bulimic.

kitty - I was as thin as a rake until I was about 30, even after having my DD I just went straight back to my size 8 frame and I could eat what I wanted.
At about 30 things started to go downhill smile I am a 14 now and 5ft 6 so not so bad really (size wise anyway!)

Sorry jingl blush I realised after I had posted that maybe you did.

kittylester Thu 19-Jun-14 15:42:14

KatyK I've never been as this as a rake! envy I've always been 'curvy' - I'm just more generous with my curves now!! grin

Seriously, I worry a bit about her being so thin and the pressure she is under to dress like a royal. I'd love to see her turning up to things in trousers etc like most of us do! And, who wears a hat as often as Kate does?

jinglbellsfrocks Thu 19-Jun-14 15:30:59

KatyK I meant I was envy (of her!)

DebnCreme Thu 19-Jun-14 15:27:09

Seem to recall people suggested Princess Diana was anorexic putting her under yet more stress. I think the Duchess looks lovely just like me (vivid imagination here)!!!

I spent an evening with friends in their consevatory yesterday and had my reflection bouncing back at me; it was dreadful, most distressing. Also I never wore stilletoes or ill fitting shoes when younger but I have bunions now sad.

So the upshot is I wish I looked one fiftieth as good as she does envy

I am the same shape as her and I hear this comment all the time! I have a healthy apetite but genetically, I have always been thin and I fed up hearing. Oooh, your so thin!!!

KatyK Thu 19-Jun-14 14:39:16

There was no envy in my particular comment. I could never hope to look like her in a million years. I have always thought she looks wonderful and still do but on the footage of her at Bletchley Park last night I just thought she looked painfully thin. It was just a comment. smile

jinglbellsfrocks Thu 19-Jun-14 13:29:12

She's slim. And obviously healthy. hmm

(envy)

annodomini Thu 19-Jun-14 12:23:30

I hope she slips her stilettos when she gets home and slops around in crocs! grin She certainly doesn't have a 'motherly' shape.

Marmight Thu 19-Jun-14 12:11:50

I think she is unhealthily thin - positively stick-like (says one who has never been thin but who feels comfortable in her Michelin woman/man suit grin), And what's more, after a lifetime of wearing vertiginously high heels, I predict she will suffer from bunions in her old age wink

ginny Thu 19-Jun-14 11:18:35

She is far too thin. Why can't women look like women, not fat but curvy. Why do so many want to look like a gangly teenage boy ?

KatyK Thu 19-Jun-14 10:55:26

They certainly are anno! smile

annodomini Thu 19-Jun-14 10:46:40

KatyK, 'lumps and bumps' are feminine curves. Aren't they? hmm

KatyK Thu 19-Jun-14 10:34:30

True Elegran. I was thin as a rake in my teens (as were most of us I'm sure) and I loved it as it was the '60s and I wanted to be like Twiggy. When I first met my DH (47 years ago) he said to be 'don't ever get fat will you'. He laughs about it when I remind him of it now - the things we say when we are young. When The Duchess was on TV last night he said 'oh my goodness she's so thin'. Fortunately, I am not fat but I am obviously not stick thin any more, I have collected a few lumps and pumps over the years. smile

Elegran Thu 19-Jun-14 10:16:26

Look where it got Mrs S. A rich husband and oodles of jewellery and expensive clothes, but a superficial existence surfing the jet set, husband estranged from his family and country, generally despised for her ambition and social mountaineering, no children or grandchildren, and a lonely old age in hotels ending in death with no-one at her side.

KatyK Thu 19-Jun-14 10:06:54

I would look like a haggard bag of bones if I was that thin. That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it! grin

NanKate Thu 19-Jun-14 09:55:49

As Mrs Simpson said 'you can never be too rich or too thin'. hmm

KatyK Thu 19-Jun-14 09:50:37

She is very thin.......
