I'd get someone I can trust to ensure that MPs didn't overdo their expense claims or give Parliament a bad name by MPs outrageous behaviour. I would also repeat ad nauseam that they are in post because they were voted there to act on behalf of the public and should therefore think accordingly before they act. I would also have them taught the art of listening rather than ignoring questions and spouting fatuous pompous nonsense. How's that for starters? smile

Ed Milliband if ever elected , would lead the Labour Party into the realms of the era of Micheal Foot , is that what our country needs ? This government has succeeded in dragging , I appreciate slowly, out of recession, & I think are on the correct path to economic recovery.

Oh yes. I think he is probably very nice. Just doesn't have enough charisma. Or something.

Penstemmon Fri 25-Jul-14 22:21:16

I wonder if Ed Milliband is a really nice bloke? He probably would not be a 'good' PM in that case. You have to be a tough bastard to succeed in politics today. Values and compassion and passion count for very little nowadays. it all seems to be about image, spin and soundbites and wh you know in the world of big business sad

I agree, jingl, Miliband would be a rubbish PM. Can't think who'd be a good one, really...

jinglbellsfrocks Fri 25-Jul-14 22:17:58

Elegran I got into such trouble on that thread. sad hmm

Our economy is growing faster than any of the others, so this government must be doing something right.

I don't think Ed Milliband would make a good Prime Minister. I think his bro had more personality.

Penstemmon Fri 25-Jul-14 22:10:54

I do not know why I have excluded women from my post! Think probably because I had Ed Milliband on my mind.

It would be good to have a woman PM that I could support.

Penstemmon Fri 25-Jul-14 22:08:03

I cannot crystal gaze! I would like a prime minister that had some deep held political convictions that he had demonstrated through local politics. Obviously I would like his political views to be the same as mine grin

roses is there a current politician/M that you think would make a good PM?

Elegran Fri 25-Jul-14 21:39:47

Here we are www.gransnet.com/forums/chat/a1191778-If-you-were-Prime-Minister-what-would-you-do

Or ten years on "Get me out of here, I'm a Celebrity"

I think we had a thread before about this. I shall try to find it.

Governments should probably be given 10 years hard labour.

rosesarered Fri 25-Jul-14 21:32:08

Well, I think we are starting to recover as a country[economically], so I don't think there is much more that could have been done. I think 10 years is too long for any party to be in power, 5 years is long enough.I think Ed Milliband would make a lousy Prime Minister, and only Ed Balls could be any worse. If David Milliband had been elected, then I think he may have made a good Prime Minister, but that isn't going to happen.

what would you Do To Get Britain Back On It's Feet again?
and do you think governments should be given 10 years rather than 5 to do its Job?
and what's your opinion on ed milliband?
Would He Make a Good Prime Minister?
I suppose only Time Will Tell.
