Agreed. I have posted on here before about Malala. She opened the new library here in Birmingham and gave a lovely stirring speech, even throwing in a bit of 'Brummie' at the end.
POGS; I can only agree with you on your thoughts about how Britain has supported her. Yes; two truly deserving winners this year. A ray of hope for humanity.
We have discussed Malala on GN before and she has simply flowered before our eyes.
I also thought how this country had 'done itself proud' from start to finish in how Malala has been allowed to flourish under the care of the British people.
Last year, many of us hoped that Malala Yousafzai would win, and were disappointed when she didn't. But this year, she HAS WON IT, sharing with Kailash Satyarthi, an Indian children’s rights activist. Best news I've heard for some time!
