I see the family say it will be put in a trust fund for him.

It is a heartwarming story, and well done to Katie.

I hope he has enough to buy a nice flat or bungalow in a retirement village with assistance - not too far from his friends and neighbours who all seem caring.

Let's hope they catch that coward asap.

harrigran - that exact thought went through my mind. He was on the news yesterday and he said he will use the money to move to an area where he feels safer. Let's hope so.

My concern is that he is now well known and everybody knows how much money he has, will he be at risk from some other low life ?

Yes, and I hope the muggers don't evade justice too.

I do hope he finds somewhere with assisted care and good security.
