Well done Ireland

Definitely good news.
Interestingly on the news earlier a RC church spokesman said that the church had wrongly assumed 'rural folk' (!) would vote against the proposal.

It goes to show how much some RC church leaders (and those of any religion) are behind the times. He went on to say that the Church must start listening to younger people so, as merlot says, hopefully there will be more changes including abolishing the anti-abortion rulings.

Hopefully that will be next.

Well done, Ireland. Now do something about your anti-abortion stance!

Yes, good news. Well done Ireland. I wonder whether this will set the ball rolling in other countries.

Not just for the "yes" vote which I applaud, but for offering the vote to the whole nation and to those who felt it so important they travelled home to vote.
