Tony Blair appointed as head of European body fighting antisemitism.

Cant he see what damage he has already created in the Middle East, and of course at home sending our troops to war unprepared.

He is such a hypocrite.

Cameron petition had over 500 signatures in the last hour, and now has 79,500.

Not far to the 100,000!

durhamjen Tue 27-Oct-15 11:35:40

9,000 signatures already, trisher.

Have you seen this one on no confidence in Cameron?
It's had over 250 in the last hour.

petition.parliament.uk/petitions/104471/signatures/new

Mind, he hasn't yet responded to having over 10,000, and there are now over 60,000.

Thanks for the link dj-petition signed, fingers crossed. (We'll get the b.....d yet!)

Come back to the tautology thread LuckyDucky and do some explaininggrin

LuckyDucky Mon 26-Oct-15 21:19:17

Yes it's Mammon. Someone should warn him, *There are no pockets in a shroud*"

Why/who decided it was a OK to employ him in a ticklish area as the Middle East? He ought to do us all a favour in the UK and revert to law. I'd sell tickets grin. Wonder if High Court sessions could be held in the Albert Hall? Standing room only. I'd like that concession.

Today I read his spin, '*we were mislead*." angry Typing my feelings on reading that would be too expensive. sad

Now what on earth will we all read ensue in the Middle East, when lessons won't be learnt, or ignored helped by a good dollop of feigned knowledge.

I ruefully decided to delete umpteen paras, You never know who's watching every keystroke hmm.

Don't download free programmes. They inevitably contain spyware. Nothing is given away freely, there has to be pay back. Uh oh, 'spect I'm preaching to the initiated sad(

Phew, feel better now . I've decided wine will go down a treat.

Cheers. grin

Mum used to tell us as kids "if you cannot say anything nice don't say anything at all." I'll shut up then. Mutter, mutter, odious creep, mutter.

durhamjen Mon 26-Oct-15 16:15:39

Shouldn't Bush be shut away in Guantanamo Bay, and left to rot without trial?

nigglynellie Mon 26-Oct-15 15:34:21

No!

rosequartz Mon 26-Oct-15 14:37:25

Can we extradite Bush as well and arrest him?

durhamjen Mon 26-Oct-15 14:33:20

petition.parliament.uk/petitions/108495

To arrest Tony Blair. That'll make him shut up again. Not that I particularly want him to, I'd rather he was arrested.

In my mind TB has got lots of blood on his [teflon] hands.

Sadly Dr Kellys family have got dignity and do not want to be embroiled in spin.

Will politics get any better from now on?

I think not , but would love to be proved wrong

rosequartz Mon 26-Oct-15 12:54:55

roses I am glad to hear that.
It is something that has worried me from time to time since those doctors said it was not possible for it to have been suicide.

nigglynellie Mon 26-Oct-15 12:38:06

Oh I see rose. I have never known much about it so my view was only from what I read and heard on the news, and no doubt it was bulled up to make a good story. Poor man/family, it was an awful business.

rosesarered Mon 26-Oct-15 10:36:09

Dr. Kelly committed suicide, he could not take all the pressure surrounding him at the time. His wife is a very private woman who continues to get on with her quiet village life. That is all there is to it (I know this for a fact, but cannot say more.)There was never a conspiracy of silence.

nigglynellie Mon 26-Oct-15 10:24:32

Apparently, when TB was informed about Dr Kelly, the colour drained out of his face! So as you say, what really happened to Dr Kelly? Also the fact that his family have never been interviewed, spoken about or even a passing thought about them from that day to this- very strange and very spooky.

rosequartz Sun 25-Oct-15 23:04:16

and I agree that his only interest is saving his own skin
and very stretched it looked tonight on the news, especially around his eyes - in fact his whole face.

Was he hookwinked and led astray by Bush or did he know more than he let on in the build-up to the Iraq war?
And will we ever really know what happened to Dr David Kelly?

durhamjen Sun 25-Oct-15 22:44:37

I wonder how often he went to Iraq when he was envoy for the middle east. Probably not very welcome there, either.

Iam64 Sun 25-Oct-15 19:51:22

He also said he believes Iraq is better now than it would have been if Saddam Hussein had remained in power. I'm sure no one contributing to this discussion would see Saddam as a power for good in Iraq but honestly, is that region in a better place now than it was before TB and GB set off on their march to remove him.

Luckygirl Sun 25-Oct-15 17:34:08

He is indeed a very cynical man, and laughing all the way to the bank to boot!

Elrel Sun 25-Oct-15 16:28:22

Either he deceives himself or he is a very cynical man.

Perhaps more need to sign this, to make sure Cameron does not make the same mistake.

durhamjen Sun 25-Oct-15 14:56:04

How many millions marched, Trisher? Including Corbyn. I wonder if the two of them have had a quiet word. Corbyn still wants to indict Blair for war crimes.
