A Labour pressure group has asked party members to vote against Jeremy Corbyn in the leadership contest.

Tristram Hunt was also saying, on Marr this morning, that Labour needs an English Labour party as they now have Welsh Labour and Scottish Labour.

This has left me cogitating about where the Labour Party will go.

No good rose I won't rise to the bait so you just as well stop now.

But you have ' done those' you just can't see it.

rosesarered Wed 05-Aug-15 13:34:12

However, there only seem to be about five out and out socialists on this forum, so perhaps we will hear from some moderate Labour voters at some point.

whitewave Wed 05-Aug-15 13:34:00

Not going to get into another playground argument I don't do those. It was,'t meant as an insult ,- you genuinely make me giggle!!

rosesarered Wed 05-Aug-15 13:32:35

Pity once again we can't have a debate without somebody being personal.

Telling porkies again, Ana.

rosesarered Wed 05-Aug-15 13:29:25

are you under the impression Whitewave, that an emoticon grin somehow dilutes an insult?

durhamjen Wed 05-Aug-15 13:26:39

Slight exaggeration, but I agree with that. In fact I think I heard this morning that Burnham wants to renationalise the railways.

I think it was Alan Bennett who said that anyone who stands still is likely to be called a radical.

rosesarered Wed 05-Aug-15 13:26:03

Charming.

rosesarered Wed 05-Aug-15 13:25:43

Yes, do you want to leave the EU?

whitewave Wed 05-Aug-15 13:23:55

Sorry dropped the tablet! I was going to say rose you idiot grin

Ana Wed 05-Aug-15 13:23:33

And wants the UK to leave the EU.

whitewave Wed 05-Aug-15 13:23:04

grinoh rose ypou

rosesarered Wed 05-Aug-15 13:23:04

His messages may not bother some , in fact they may welcome them, but surely not the majority of Labour voters.

rosesarered Wed 05-Aug-15 13:20:37

How about the message that he would like to Nationalise anything that stands still for more than a minute?

whitewave Wed 05-Aug-15 13:15:49

I wonder if we are in danger of dwelling too much on the person and not the message which I think is what those supporting JC find more important?

Ana Wed 05-Aug-15 13:11:27

So may all the Labour members who support him, Gracesgran! smile

Gracesgran Wed 05-Aug-15 13:08:59

I agree with your mmmmmmmm Anniebach. It will give many voters food for thought and who knows how they will be feeling after five years of this conservative government.

We cannot know but 47% of Tory voters may live to feel they should be careful what they wish for Anasmile

Ana Wed 05-Aug-15 13:06:54

If they just read Tory papers, why aren't they all 'troubled' at the prospect of Corbyn being elected?

Anniebach Wed 05-Aug-15 12:52:20

Only 47% , this is a surprise

durhamjen Wed 05-Aug-15 12:47:49

Yes, but they just read Tory papers.

Ana Wed 05-Aug-15 12:20:49

47% of Conservative party members are apparently hoping Corbyn will be elected as the next Labour leader...hmm

rosesarered Wed 05-Aug-15 12:15:40

Really, I would think they would be delighted.

Anniebach Wed 05-Aug-15 12:07:05

True Gracesnan, how can a labour MP say they will overthrow the leader democratically elected by the majority of the party . This election is for the party leader who will be chosen by party members. The Tory press seemed troubled by Corbyn being elected , mmmmmmmmm
