I read about Hexam Jen and gave them a round of mental applause.

The whole thing about PQE is that it must expand things, jobs, housing, training, etc. and put money into the economy via people wages, etc. It is good to hear all the economist coming out and explaining that this is not something strange but has been used a great deal over the years.

I can remember when at work looking at PFI contracts and being appalled at the amount of money the tax payer was being asked to pay over an enormous number of years - what a very good idea.

I was thinking about PQE today whilst driving to and from my mother -in- law's carehome ( She was actually talking sense for about half an hour).

I have just seen figures which say that hospital trusts are going to be £2 billion in the red this year. Corbyn thinks PQE could be used for hospitals and buying up PFI. That's an excellent idea.

One hospital in the country has bought back its PFI and that's Hexham hospital. What happened was that Northumberland County Council bought it back and Hexham is paying the council back but paying a lot less than under the PFI deal.. If that's not socialism to help the local population, I do not know what is.
I expect people to say that Labour started PFI; it's wrong but it doesn't matter. What matters is how to pay less. The government could do it, but it will not, as it is Tory friends who stand to lose the most from this idea of Corbyn's.

Well - that was nice for a while - sensible and informative arguments; well thought out theories.

Now I am afraid of being shot in the crossfire, so, interesting as it was, after 9 pages I am not reading any more.

Noooooooo. Not a vest!!! My eyeballs are now seared with a vision of string vests and Y fronts.

However, I would overlook the jackets if I agreed with the message.

All it would take is an explanation - I am not saying I was not rude, just that I cannot see it - or an apology. Why suggest this to me Elegran; I did not make the original personal remark and all I asked for was an explanation as to why I was accused of rudeness.

I have not replied to one single post rosesarered has made for some time because of things like this. The first time I do - with what was a reasoned and applicable explanation - this happens. Are we to silence half the forum because the other half are prepared to make personal remarks - then not explain why - using this to bend reasoned argument and discussion.

It's boring. I'm bored ... but I am not rude and all that comment did was to allow rosesarered to avoid the discussion of labelling people by what is read on here.
