This is Alex Salmond's comment on how Cameron is dealing with the migrant crisis.

As shame in my countries response was what I have been feeling, I can only agree with him.

POGS, surely those who think they are going around in circles can choose to opt out ?

POGS Fri 11-Sept-15 11:11:27

People are not idiots just let them decide how they interpret posts and decide which poster suits them best. There will not be agreement so it is a waste of time trying to establish who is right or wrong.

Points were raised, questions were asked, questions were answered and yes it is going round in a circle .

Gracesgran Fri 11-Sept-15 10:51:55

Couldn't agree more Annie.

RQ ending something means you stop doing it. If you choose to say nothing this silly conversation would stop. What you are actually doing is, at the very least, believing you can tell someone how the should post on an open forum or, at worst - and as several people are working together I would see this as the case - attempting to bully another member.

confused

I didn't realise it was only the original poster who could pull a thread back away from ever-decreasing pointless circles.

Many apologies, as you were everyone.
Over and Out.

Anniebach Fri 11-Sept-15 10:27:18

Why do some here decide when discussions should move on, is it not a posters choice to move on, go around in circles or stick with what to them is inportant?

rosequartz Fri 11-Sept-15 09:53:50

Oh, my mistake.
I was trying to appeal to someone's sense of humour and bring a seemingly endlessly ridiculous tit for tat situation to an end.
I forgot that not everyone has a gsoh.
Or even one at all.

Back to the OP.
I am not really interested in people's views when their only aim seems to be to make political capital out of other people's misery.
A more structured and well-thought approach is needed, especially when there is always far more to many heartrending stories than is first reported.

Before I am accused by the OP or any others of being hardhearted, I, like many others, have been following this situation for longer than just the present crisis. I know the situation in the camps is not ideal, but at least they are away from the hell that is Syria. Some refugees from other countries have been living in camps for 50 years. I am not saying that this is anything the world should be proud of, but just trying to put this into context.
The greedy human traffickers are to blame as much as anyone.

Rose some people cannot move on. They just go round and round in circles.

Anya, I objected to being told which words I may use and no, it doesn't compare to what the PM says. This is a forum and several of you have tried to tell me what and when I can post. You still have your little stick out and keep prodding. Leave me alone and I will stop telling you what I think of your behaviour towards another - equal - member of the forum.

Anya Fri 11-Sept-15 06:58:47

Oddly enoigh they are usually the first ones to tell other people what to do.

Ceesnan Fri 11-Sept-15 06:52:18

hmm

Gracesgran Fri 11-Sept-15 00:41:16

I really do not need to be told what to do Rosequartz.

rosequartz Thu 10-Sept-15 23:31:09

come on, Gracesgran, don't keep trying to have the last word.

(That's my prerogative)

jinglbellsfrocks Thu 10-Sept-15 22:52:06

Not by John Cleese

Gracesgran Thu 10-Sept-15 22:39:06

We moved on several posts ago. Or thought we did.

One day you will "move on" rosesarered, but still issuing instructions about how we should post on this thread I see. Until you do ...

Anya grin

merlotgran Thu 10-Sept-15 22:21:19

I've just sent it to my two grandsons who are politics students. I deleted the question marks apart from the Australian bit? grin

NfkDumpling Thu 10-Sept-15 22:05:28

Narks who go around furtively quoting Shakespeare in exchange for folding money .

Anya Thu 10-Sept-15 21:53:14

Me too!

Ana Thu 10-Sept-15 21:51:21

Love the idea of quotation narks...grin

Anya Thu 10-Sept-15 21:50:27

Yes, all the quotation narks changed to question marks!

Sometimes things get too serious and we need to lighten up a bit. I'll probably be pilloried by the 'it's a Serious Subject' brigade, which of course it is but.....

jinglbellsfrocks Thu 10-Sept-15 21:47:48

I wondered about a lot of it. confused

rosesarered Thu 10-Sept-15 21:46:00

I did wonder about the question marks.

rosesarered Thu 10-Sept-15 21:45:38

Thanks for the laugh Anya, that was hilarious.grin

Anya Thu 10-Sept-15 21:37:58

Love all the '???s' grin thanks GN!
