As jinglbellsfrocks had the last word in the last thread about Jermy Corbyn, I am starting a new one.

Do you think that the election of Jeremy Corbyn has scuppered Labour's chances of winning the next election or has it revitalised the party?

rosequartz Sun 04-Oct-15 17:35:03

And Jeremy Corbyn would not have been in Downing Street that evening would he
I meant was he doing the Tour de France

This is a very interesting article about Trident.

And Jeremy Corbyn would not have been in Downing Street that evening would he

durhamjen Sun 04-Oct-15 13:02:59

No. Jeremy Corbyn has always been unfailingly polite to policemen.

rosequartz Sat 03-Oct-15 22:54:25

Getting back to the OP - it wasn't Jeremy Corbyn was it?
Hasn't he got a bike?
Is it a racing bike?

Ana Sat 03-Oct-15 22:52:06

No, that basket on the front would have hampered his speed somewhat! grin

rosequartz Sat 03-Oct-15 22:47:49

I don't think he won the Tour de France though.
Not on that old bike anyway.

jinglbellsfrocks Sat 03-Oct-15 22:30:33

Andrew Mitchell! (Googled "bike Downing Street policeman". Wonders of Google)

jinglbellsfrocks Sat 03-Oct-15 22:28:02

Andrew somebody. I think. grin

rosequartz Sat 03-Oct-15 22:25:14

him-on-his-bike
Sir Bradley Wiggins? Chris Froome? Sir Chris Hoy?

jinglbellsfrocks Sat 03-Oct-15 22:03:23

I'll take your word for it dj. Can't google it cos I can't remember his name. grin

durhamjen Sat 03-Oct-15 20:29:45

A long way back, but jingl, him-with-his-bike-in-Downing-Street lied, not just the policeman. The one that him-on-his-bike spoke to did not lie.

think-left.org/2015/10/03/trident-yes-prime-minister-because-its-the-very-best-most-pointless-that-you-can-buy/

Nothing to do with him-om-his-bike, but never mind.

soontobe Sat 03-Oct-15 20:15:17

wow then Anniebach
I never know how to spell those words.

nigglynellie Sat 03-Oct-15 19:22:29

I love this country, warts an all, and am proud of its tolerance, achievements, it's police force and armed forces. There is nowhere else I would rather live, ( and lots of places I feel very fortunate not live,) if there were, I would have gone there years ago in my youth. The only slight complaint is the rubbish summer weather we get year in year out, but none of us can blame the government for that, (or can we?!!!!)

rosesarered Sat 03-Oct-15 19:19:03

Plus the fact that we live in a democracy, with free speech for all, reasonable laws, we don't walk around armed, have a mild climate, no dangerous animals or wildlife to be on the alert for.... The list is endless.

rosesarered Sat 03-Oct-15 19:16:35

Who has got ' everything' right?

janeainsworth Sat 03-Oct-15 19:16:01

You don't have to be grateful to anyone, jingl. You can just feel grateful for whatever it is - your health, your family, the opportunities you have had.

Anniebach Sat 03-Oct-15 19:13:34

soon, please do not reply to my posts with 'whoa' I am not a horse , most rude

jinglbellsfrocks Sat 03-Oct-15 19:10:31

Why should we grateful? Who to? confused

Anniebach Sat 03-Oct-15 19:09:48

Not odd soon, if you lived in dire poverty and under a dictator anywhere would be a better option

jinglbellsfrocks Sat 03-Oct-15 19:09:32

That was to roses.

jinglbellsfrocks Sat 03-Oct-15 19:08:56

I'm sure that's true. But we haven't got everything right.

soontobe Sat 03-Oct-15 19:07:33

No jinglbellsfrocks.
But everyone, and I mean everyone should be very grateful for what they do have. Whatever that may be.

rosesarered Sat 03-Oct-15 19:05:04

No country in the world has everything in apple pie order Jingl.

jinglbellsfrocks Sat 03-Oct-15 19:03:19

So, do you think everything is in apple-pie order in the UK soon?
