This was also on the BBC news Granjura.

I will still carry on sending to the small charity in Turkey; it is delivered to where they know it is needed by trusted drivers to genuine refugees.

Foxnews, I see. Did you remember their famous item on immigration in Birmingham?!?!

My TeaParty Trump voting relatives in the USA of course say BBC is really biased and Fox News the only totally reliable source of the TRUTH.

We cannot agree to disagree on this one, I'm afraid.

I read about Dismaland going to be packed up and sent to Calais! It will be put straight onto eBay I suspect.

I didn't spot your blue bit, jingl. My specs probably need a clean. I've been painting a ceiling so everything's foggy. grin

jinglbellsfrocks Tue 06-Oct-15 19:22:32

I should put the long version up. I don't think anyone sees the short links.

jinglbellsfrocks Tue 06-Oct-15 19:21:21

It is. That's why I put that link up.

I thought it was going to be used for emergency accommodation.

jinglbellsfrocks Tue 06-Oct-15 19:07:12

oh, I see

Shouldn't think so. It would be warmer than tents wouldn't it?

loopylou Tue 06-Oct-15 19:01:23

confused
Why? They'd have a heck of a trek first!
Besides, it's all destined for exhibitions elsewhere merlotgran

jinglbellsfrocks Tue 06-Oct-15 18:59:14

Why would they do that?

merlotgran Tue 06-Oct-15 18:55:26

Will they be setting fire to Banksy's dismantled Dismaland I wonder?

loopylou Tue 06-Oct-15 18:46:15

The vast majority at Calais are economic migrants, not refugees, young, fit men fleeing from conscription and who want to get here for benefits etc

Donations taken to there are being burnt on bonfires because they want mobile phones, iPads and money not clothing, toiletries etc.

A local organisation took four transit vans full of donations which were scornfully refused, so brought it all back again. It included tents, sleeping bags, blankets, toiletries etc. The accompanying people were shocked and disgusted as well as disappointed, the donations have now gone to homeless charity in nearby city.

Care to expand? One young British woman I have befriended on an expat immigrant Forum in France has been working tirelessly to get supplies to Calais- wonderful and caring person.

Can't be true if it's in the DM, apparently...hmm

In the Daily Mail now.
Bradford based charity: Human Relief foundation.
Things are not what they thought, in the camps. Many of us could have told them that.
