Watched the Anrew Marr Show this morning and he was interviewing La Sturgeon, she now has ginger hair, surely it used to be brown with a few blonde highlights or have I imagined it?
Wondered if this was to make her seem even extra Scots ( if that is even possible.)

Maybe she is an albino sturgeon which can vary from white to orangey black grin. Sturgeon caught in England and Wales are the property of the Crown and must be returned to them. Perhaps that is why she is so keen on independence wink

grinwell, I hadn't considered that angle.Thought I may have noticed before if she had really had ginger hair, so am presuming it is newly coloured.

Perhaps she's been reading our thread on hoe colouring? grin

NotTooOld Sun 11-Oct-15 14:00:59

hoe colouring? Who colours their hoe? I mean HOME.

kittylester Sun 11-Oct-15 15:02:14

If one colours one's hoe it cannot be lost in the shrubbery! A subject dear to my heart as I have lost my best secateurs in the shrubbery overgrown bit by the top patio! grin

Kitty, Mr Roses regularly loses bits and bobs of gardening tools within the garden, they never seem to turn up either, very mysterious.

I have had a tin of bright yellow paint in my garage for several years. I bought it with the intention of painting the handles of my garden hand tools so I don't keep losing them among the plants weeds. I might get round to it one day.

Oh dear, I was sure it was a wig. It certainly looks like one.

Coolgran65 Sun 11-Oct-15 16:00:01

Perhaps picked up a brighter shade than usual of N & E. smile

If you google 'Nichola Sturgeon images' you'll see she's been all shades of brown/blonde/strawberry blonde over the years. Perhaps she felt an autumnal tint would be nice for a change...

Sometimes the studio lights can make people's hair an odd colour too! grin

Does it matter? Surely this is an example of the kind of comment women politicians have to put up with. Her policies are far more important than her hair colour.

rosesarered Sun 11-Oct-15 19:18:00

Is that so Ana?In that case she has just gone russet for a change.
No, it doesn't matter a jot Annodomini, a lot of us colour our hair, her policies may be interesting ( not to me) but change of hair colour may be commentd on as well.

Ana Sun 11-Oct-15 19:29:49

I don't think it's just women politicians either who have to put up with comments about their personal appearance. Ed Miliband had quite a hard time of it, and David Cameron's likeness to Iggle Piggle and GO's 'Caesar' haircut have been frequently mentioned, both in the media and on here.

It goes with the territory, however much we'd like to think ourselves above that sort of thing.

Yup, celebrities, politicians, whoever, in the public eye, have to get used to us wondering about their hair colour, style etc.We would all be very interested if JC turned up ( from his Scottish holiday) with a headful of chestnut curls.grin

Deedaa Sun 11-Oct-15 20:53:25

And who was that politician who looked like Shrek? Was he Charles somebody? I think he went in for ill advised designer stubble as well.

janeainsworth Sun 11-Oct-15 22:03:53

For you *deedaa*

I like the Theresa May one the best.

NotTooOld Mon 12-Oct-15 21:38:31

I'm still giggling at David Cameron looking like Iggle Piggle. Love it!

rosesarered Mon 12-Oct-15 21:43:22

Jane! grin I liked them all!
