Shocking event in city centre.

I posted on Good Morning Thursday that I was going Christmas shopping, which I did. Now I see on the news that there was an incendiary bomb (small) in one of the shopping centres. No-one hurt. The city was very busy and it is shocking to say the least.

During the IRA bombing campaigns in London in the early 70s, incendiary devices were regularly placed in the big department stores. Every night staff would search rails etc and then the bomb squad would deal with them - its just nothing was publicised unless they went off. I was in Harrods when they evacuated the whole store in under 6 minutes - amazing (esp the poor old dowagers having their hair done - standing outside with lovely staff reassuring them). We just got used to it.
