NHS is good and private bad because private takes money away from NHS.
However, as the situation stands, it's better to be treated in a private hospital if the alternative is dying whilst waiting for an NHS bed because they have all been taken up by private patients.
I have to bite my tongue on that quite a lot these days.

I have no problem in anyone having treatment on the NHS no matter the hospital, the person is being helped and the treatment paid for . I accept we have a shortage of doctors , to suggest I think a person should die rather than receive treatment because I am against private hospitals is childish sorry.

So - if you do not believe the South Wales Argus and are wondering if it has a hidden agenda - do you believe the BBC has also? It has not just been reported in the SWA but on television, in other newspapers and I know from friends and relatives.

Anyway, a previous post indicated that you may think it is acceptable for Welsh patients to be treated in English private hospitals as long as they are treated, which surprised me somewhat, given the general consensus by leftwing posters that NHS = Good and Private = Bad

It don't find it unacceptable as the waiting lists are so long here.
DH was told he could possibly be seen some time this millennium for an orthopaedic appointment (or pay privately).
Other treatment can be as good as in England - as long as you are already in the system.
(Oh, unless too many babies arrive in Cardiff on one day in which case ambulance all the way to Somerset.)

Hunt agreed in April that it would be a good idea to have an all-party commission to sort out the NHS and care.

NHSsurvival wants you to contact your MPs to tell them that's what you want, too. If that is what you want rather thyan letting the Tories run it into the ground.

In short I don't care which companies use the stupid laws in order to pay minimum tax. What I care about is that the LAWS are stupid and NONE of our governments, of any political persuasion seem to want to change the laws.

Meanwhile the plebs rant and rant about the companies who follow the law to the letter.

The tax mechanism for "the ordinary working man" is the same for all employed people and those in receipt of occupational pensions. The scope for claiming tax reliefs is pretty much limited to legitimate business expenses, the same as those which can be claimed by the OWM if he has incurred them.

Let's try to keep clear of emotional and class-laden phraseology.

For a PM Cameron was shameful during the election, he used Scotland and Wales with vitriolic attacks .

'The rest' would of course include people of any or no political persuasion, not just Tories.
