Only a few months and there will be a new PM, who?

This is interesting, particularly for those who still believe the myth that the EU never signed off the accounts.

Well said, Annie. Wish I'd thought of that.

durhamjen Sat 02-Jul-16 14:51:54

However, I would like to thank you for asking because I have just come across this.

I am happy about it; I am sure you will not be.

We hsve always had undesirable people in this country and I don't mean immigrants

durhamjen Sat 02-Jul-16 14:48:44

Who says they are undesirable? I object to the tone of your post, petra.
You obviously have no idea what goes on in immigration centres.

petra Sat 02-Jul-16 14:42:59

durhamjen Re your link Theresa May/ immigration. If she has a hard line on immigration why do we still have so many undesirable people in our country.

Brian Spanner twitter brilliant. Have sent it out.

Beammeupscottie Fri 01-Jul-16 10:57:55

ww. I totally agree.

whitewave Fri 01-Jul-16 10:44:37

More and more I am convinced that neither of the two lead campaigners thought they would succeed and dare I suggest hoped that they wouldn't. Johnson couldn't run fast enough. Gove can't be serious in his bid for premiership, as even he has ruled himself out time and time again. So the major joke

It is highly likely that a REMAIN premier will be left to pick up the pieces.

Jalima. Birmingham has a wonderful Symphony Hall. Do go!

Jalima Thu 30-Jun-16 16:34:47

Oh, misunderstood.

The sooner they all sort themselves out the better, everyone seems to be out of their normal positions iyswim, the chess board is out of sync.

Anniebach Thu 30-Jun-16 16:14:56

I didn't sat it would take that long Jalima, I meant the election will not be in a few months, this gives the Labour Party time to sort out the problem and start attacking the policies of the government , and not each other

Jalima Thu 30-Jun-16 15:47:10

Durex have shoved an advetising strap on GN. I should be so lucky. Beammeup
I am being invited to go to the West Midlands (Advert for National Express keeps appearing on GN!)
Is that the place to be?

Jalima Thu 30-Jun-16 15:44:20

May will win, no general election untill 2020, gives the Labour Party time to get sorted
Will it take that long shock

obieone Thu 30-Jun-16 15:06:49

Teresa May seems to have changed her voice and stance too.

Had a quick look petra. See what you mean.

What about Liam Fox?

petra Thu 30-Jun-16 14:58:41

I liked Anrea Leadsom when she was on the campaign trail. But now I've looked at her CV and she's a bit too close to banking for my liking.
Wouldn't trust Theresa May. Don't know why, just me. She always looks very smart though, lol.

obieone Thu 30-Jun-16 13:17:17

I think I favour Andrea Leadsom. But dont know enough about all the candidates yet.

obieone Thu 30-Jun-16 13:06:47

Not sure about May. It doesnt sit right with me. Campaign remain, and then do Brexit. hmm.

Imagine someone on here annoucing they are going to do that!

CelticRose Thu 30-Jun-16 12:43:49

Newsflash. Mr Cameron to lead a newly formed, Government department, to work on 2-year Brexit plan. Just imagine if you will... Mrs May/Mrs Leadsom/Mr Cameron. The top three with the expertise to put the UK back on the map. Other strong contestants can head other departments; eg, Mr Gove to start a new skills training programme from Reception class to apprenticeships.

CelticRose Thu 30-Jun-16 12:35:26

Andrea Leadsom (for her business knowledge and financial background in the City) and Theresa May as the longest serving holder in over 100 years of the poisoned chalice of Home Sec. And she did work hard to get Abu Hamza deported. Together, these two MPs would be a formidable team - move over Mr Osborne!

LullyDully Thu 30-Jun-16 12:26:14

He must have some common sense after all. He has spared us a lot of trauma. I did find myself strangely impressed by Theresa May this morning. Straight down the line pragmatism. Interesting.

Anniebach Thu 30-Jun-16 12:22:13

May will win, no general election untill 2020, gives the Labour Party time to get sorted

obieone Thu 30-Jun-16 12:21:37

Wouldnt have got the backing I presume.
