Some of the Chakrobarti report does reflect on comments made on the Anti - Semitism in the labour Party and Universities thread, such as the use of the word Zio (klu klux klan preferred referenceas an intended insult). Chakrobarti says Labour members should resist the use of words Hitler, Naazi and Holocaust metaphores, distortions and comparisons in debate about Israel-Palestine in particular. (good luck with that one!)
The Inquiry by Chakrobarti was not what could be deemed as 'in depth' but the findings have been made. I wish she had not joined the Labour Party or passed noted to Corbyn at the Select Committee as this could lead to possible questions .
As for the Shami Chakrobarti Inquiry Press Conference I was watching it live but I can't find which station it was being aired on, although it would have been Sky or BBC news 24. The point is when Labour MP Ruth Smeeth was accused by activist Marc Wadsworth of basically conspiracy with the right wing paper the Telegraph and then proceed to go on about the lack of coloured people in the room Corbyn stood there and just did nothing, Chakrobarti had to intervene because of his decision to either let Wadsworth make his point known which chimes with Corbyn or because he is weak and cannot take control. In fact the 'launch' of the Anti Semitism Inquiry finding turned out to ironically cause more
trouble because of the interpretation of Corbyns own words , Marc Wadsworths intervention and the fact Corbyn laughed with him on leaving the room and then to top it all Corbyns statement about the situation in front of the Select Committee.
Couldn't make it up.
