I'm not at all sure why I have to suffer some kind of interrogation, POGS, but if it keeps you happy, I'll answer. Do you keep a record of people's posts?
I'm a lifelong LibDem supporter/voter (previously Liberal) and have continued to support them at local level, sometimes actively. I have never lived in a constituency where my vote actually counted, even if I had voted for one of the two major parties. In my current constituency 51% voted Conservative with a massive majority.
In the last election, I considered not voting, but I always have. I am absolutely disgusted with the cuts the Conservatives have made to benefits and public services and the chaos created in our schools, so decided to vote for Labour, just so they had another vote on the national total.
I thought at the time that if I wanted something done to get rid of the Conservatives, I ought to do something more active. The LibDems seemed a lost cause, so on a whim I decided to sign up for the £3 Labour membership. I hadn't really decided who I wanted to vote for, read up all I could, but in the end I didn't vote. I've since cancelled the membership.
I want to see a strong Labour Party, because I think it's the only current alternative to the Conservatives. Even then, it will probably need to form an alliance. With the loss of the Scottish seats and boundary changes, it's unlikely to win an overall majority.
