I think it will be interesting to track what the result of the vote brings us. Good or bad.

Interesting Devorgilla. Not according to the jackofkent blog.

Maybe he had had enough anyway.

Devorgilla Sat 25-Jun-16 13:08:05

Lord Hill, the UK's European Commissioner has just stood down saying "what is done cannot be undone".

whitewave Sat 25-Jun-16 12:43:19

If there was a demonstration now in London about the lies that the Brexit lot told us I would definitely be on it.

whitewave Sat 25-Jun-16 12:32:25

Why?

WilmaKnickersfit Sat 25-Jun-16 12:30:51

I don't agree with the triple lock anyway.

whitewave Sat 25-Jun-16 12:25:41

Just been. told on money box that the triple lock is likely to go. But don't panic they are saying.

whitewave Sat 25-Jun-16 11:31:20

Don't be silly obi I am not taking part in a silly squabble over a subject which I think will ensure that the lives of my children and grandchildren will be blighted.

obieone Sat 25-Jun-16 11:24:16

I think people who dont vote, have that chopice. They can choose what to do. So yes they count. They chose not to vote. Totally up to them. Why do they have to be told what to do by others as well? Or are they thick, peasants as well?

whitewave Sat 25-Jun-16 11:21:42

Oh I stand corrected! What about those who didn't vote? Do they count?

whitewave Sat 25-Jun-16 11:20:18

I think you are all misunderstanding the use of peasants and no doubt dj will correct me if I'm wrong the term peasants is used to indicate how the elite see the working class. It was used ironically.

obieone Sat 25-Jun-16 11:18:38

The vote was 51.9% and 48.1%. Please be accurate whitewave. We have had enough of inaccuracies.

obieone Sat 25-Jun-16 11:16:09

Now we have "peasants". And by durhamjen of all people.

Do you not realise that the type of people you are insulting, are the very type of people that you have esposing all over gransnet for the times I have been on here?

So it is as I suspected. You say one thing about ideals and talk endlessly about the poor, but you do not actually like the people.

whitewave Sat 25-Jun-16 11:16:00

So the majority if the commons and even more of a majority of the lords are against leave. There will be chaos for ever as they try to get the massive mountain of legislation through.

Silly squabbles have no place in such a serious thread

sunseeker Sat 25-Jun-16 11:08:42

Annibach - sorry but your comment was sarcastic - you don't know my friend just assumed he was an arrogant Englishman. He did try to integrate, even making an attempt to learn Welsh, but had to put up with his car being vandalised, someone attempting to burn an outbuilding and, the final straw which made up his mind to leave, an adult accosting his 7 year old daughter outside her school screaming in her face that her mother was an English whore and the child had no right to attend the school. I would not for one minute assume that all Welsh people are like that but not all English are arrogant snobs either.

whitewave Sat 25-Jun-16 11:07:04

Hannah "there will continue to be free movement of people " oh! Say that to the poor and working classes who feel so put upon.

whitewave Sat 25-Jun-16 11:03:21

They are probably a tad old by now but they probably have the pattern to make new ones.

Granny2016 Sat 25-Jun-16 11:02:53

Duramjen...Peasants ?????

whitewave Sat 25-Jun-16 11:02:15

As someone on my course said " And you said Americans are dumb"!!!

suzied Sat 25-Jun-16 11:01:49

Perhaps the Daily Mail could give out free blackshirts for every reader .

whitewave Sat 25-Jun-16 11:01:09

Ain't going to happen. They sold them lies - they can't possibly deliver. They can shriek all they like about what they didn't actually promise. 50% of the population think they did and 50 % of us warned of the lies. They have the entire country to convince - isn't going to happen.

'Peasants'? Charming...but typical.

durhamjen Sat 25-Jun-16 10:58:29

The original six country presidents are meeting next week to see what to do about other countries that want to follow UK.

Can't wait for the fallout, whitewave. Boris, Gove and Farage have fired up the peasants. They want what they were promised now!

Gracesgran Sat 25-Jun-16 10:57:10

They can't make us do that Jen but if, yet again to sort out the Conservative party, we wait until the autumn, they will then be in control. It doesn't take a genius to work out that between now and October(?) they will work out how they want to do it - which will be as fast as they can to prevent contagion - and present that as we present our article 50 "sorry but we're leaving" note.
