I'm a bit of a lurker and don't post very often but it's raining and I am stuck in watching the news and fascinated (in a slightly scared way) about what sky news is calling the "Labour civil war"

Personally I would like to see Benn succeed. I think Corbyn has to go

jinglbellsfrocks Wed 29-Jun-16 22:03:11

Eugh! Angela Eagle. hmm

Anniebach Wed 29-Jun-16 21:48:34

I wouldn't know Monuca, never met one, will have to take your word oon it, and this alone

M0nica Wed 29-Jun-16 21:45:55

Saints always say that.

Anniebach Wed 29-Jun-16 21:42:45

I don't have a halo, could never be considered a saint

M0nica Wed 29-Jun-16 21:39:57

I have made all my bread in the past, but we have a really good baker in our village, so I do what I can to support a local small business. All his bread is ethically sound, It is organic and bought from a local flour mill using grain from local farms.

I can see all our halos glistening in the (noon-existent) sun!grin

Anniebach Wed 29-Jun-16 21:12:59

It's an excellent company Jen, I buy their pasta and spaghetti too

durhamjen Wed 29-Jun-16 21:09:23

I buy Dove's Farm because I like organic food, Annie. My grandson makes my bread. He can also make very good pastry with Dove's Farm flour. We use spelt, which is going to be grown more in this country.

Anniebach Wed 29-Jun-16 21:03:25

I make it myself not from choice, I buy flour from Dove Farm because of a health problem

rosesarered Wed 29-Jun-16 20:47:07

Yes, it was important, and we all needed to know thatgrin

M0nica Wed 29-Jun-16 20:27:56

It is a relief to know that.

Ana Wed 29-Jun-16 20:27:40

How did I just know that would be the response? grin

Anniebach Wed 29-Jun-16 20:23:08

No Monica, when needed I make it myself

M0nica Wed 29-Jun-16 20:18:51

... and you a member of the proletariat! I do hope you are not guilty of joining the plutocracy by only buying your bread from artisan bakers.

Anniebach Wed 29-Jun-16 20:16:41

I wouldn't know rosesaered , I don't eat sliced bread

Jalima Wed 29-Jun-16 20:02:47

The government is being allowed to get away with anything it wants at the moment. I hope Labour MPs are ashamed
I think the whole lot of them are in disarray

rosesarered Wed 29-Jun-16 20:00:44

Corbyn was talked about ( until recently) on Gransnet as being the best thing since sliced bread. Those of us who thought he was the worst choice the Labour Party had ever made were not believed. How things change!

obieone Wed 29-Jun-16 19:49:24

What are your feelings and assessment on the Corbyn situation dj?

durhamjen Wed 29-Jun-16 19:01:14

This was mentioned today in PMQs by Corbyn.
He had no support from Labour MPs and Cameron ignored it and told him to go.
The government is being allowed to get away with anything it wants at the moment. I hope Labour MPs are ashamed.

Anniebach Wed 29-Jun-16 16:34:50

Possibly they will continue to support Corbyn because was voted as leader

Beammeupscottie Wed 29-Jun-16 16:29:55

I hear on the news that the Unions are considering the state of the LP. Not very good on Unions, what will they say?

Anniebach Wed 29-Jun-16 14:57:50

I wouldn't know POGS, I only speak for myself here not for others

petra Wed 29-Jun-16 13:53:41

POGS Wed 29-Jun-16 13:48:44

Anniebach Wed 29-Jun-16 13:44:11

Do we POGS ? If so you expect them to betray confidences ? You may , I would not

POGS Wed 29-Jun-16 13:39:24
