Does anyone ever agree with Parliament100? Personally I cannot make head nor tail of some of his/her posts[I often think it is a him, approx 17 years old].

There have been Labour governments too since the war, some pretty ineffectual, some actually bringing he country to its knees, remember the winter of discontent or did you miss that?!!

Sorry, no government has deliberately set out to undermine the social changes?
Did you miss the Thatcher era?
Have you not heard about food banks, taking us back to the time of soup kitchens?
Do you think that was just done by accident, along with the destruction of the NHS?

I think times have changed just a little since the end of WW11 !!! and I don't think any government has deliberately set out to undermine the social changes that came about 70 years ago and that successive governments, Labour and Tory have built on; changed and modified them maybe, but not deliberately undermined them. No one can deny the banking crisis, and the need to pull our horns in in order to get the country back into some financial order. A lot of people thought the medicine far too severe, and now with a new government (yes, Cameron and Osbourne have gone, not a word of a lie!!)there may be some easing of the brake!

Yes, we know all that Parliament.
Cameron and Osborne have gone now, were you asleep for the last couple of weeks?

The right wing Tory's what?

Parliament100 Sat 16-Jul-16 14:44:16

Austerity is just a media tag, the reality is that since Thatcher the right wing Tory's have initiated an ideological attack on all the social improvements built up by the Labour Government after WW2, and what's worse Thatcher, Cameron, and Osborne have got away with it..
