Given that Nissan were quite clear about where they stood, pre referendum, yes I don't doubt that the Sunderland brexiteers have got an attitude of 'were not going to be blackmailed by the people who provide employment for many thousands of people here, along with all the subsidiary companies'. Some of them were so high profile afterwards that I wouldn't like to be in their shoes if their friends/neighbours lose their jobs. However, it won't happen because with our new found freedom and control well have to give Nissan whatever deal they want in order to keep them here, and it ain't gonna be a cheap one.

It may be what the Brexiters are heading towards, but there is a long way to go and nothing else is in the mix yet. I think we need to wait and see what unfolds. They have to convince parliament for a start and May does not have a majority when it comes to Brexit, and knows it. There are a lot of senior Tories waiting in the wings for a wrong move.
We also haven't yet seen what the EU is going to offer, and it could well be one we would be idiots to refuse

to make up your mind, you need to look at evidence from all sides - not just the ones you fancy- surely. That is why it is called 'balanced' and 'informed'. Only reading The Sun and the DM is hardly going to deliver that. Truly.

Thank you for the Guardian link DJ, very interesting. And no, Ana, we don't all have the Guardian or read it daily- so links are more than useful. Giving links is not 'spoon feeding' but giving more information, which anyone can choose to ignore (although I'd say in any intelligent debate, to make an informed decision, reading variety of links is truly essential).

Not impatient for action at all. It's Davis & Co who want to invoke Article 50 yesterday. As far as I'm concerned, it can drag on for another few decades.

Did I write that I 'wanted' answers? I don't think so. What I wrote was that May didn't really give any. Her speech said nothing much more than 'Brexit means Brexit' which is meaningless.

The Brexiteers, especially Fox and Davis, seem very fond of giving answers, but they don't seem to check with the boss first. Despite headlines, none of them have said very much at all, because (as you quite rightly say) they don't know. Perhaps they should stop pretending that they do.

Yet another Guardian link. Surely everyone on the left has already read it, and no one else will want to.

And it always seems to be the Remainers who are impatient for action and answers - just so they can pick holes in them, I suspect.

People keep saying "we want answers" how can someone give an answer to--horse trading-- negotiations that haven't started yet. I just hope that our chaps are good Brag or Poker players.
