As I made a mistake and posted in 'Brexit, power to the people' - here is Brexit4.

I know some of you don't like 'experts' or their opinions, but I do urge all to listen to this man again, from Liverpool University, calmly and expertly explaining what the single market is, and how it does work

Does anybody have a plot? I appear to have lost mine.

Rigby46 Tue 25-Oct-16 17:19:52

nn sorry but I did not snipe at ab. I think you're being a bit harsh after I apologised - I don't know what has been going on and so I said sorry. New posters may well put their foot in it from time to time but I think you've been a bit unfair and unkind to me

Welshwife Tue 25-Oct-16 17:17:05

How recent was this nn I can only remember it being a few weeks ago and have possibly missed anything more recent.

nigglynellie Tue 25-Oct-16 17:13:14

If being niggly is being appalled at the horrible treatment a particular poster has been subjected to, then yes I plead guilty. Perhaps neither of you have followed those particular conversations, if you have and still find sniping at ab funny, then ok so be it.

MaizieD Tue 25-Oct-16 16:53:38

I thought it was amusing, too, Rigby. Don't worry, nigglynellie likes to live up to her name.

Rigby46 Tue 25-Oct-16 16:28:27

Sorry about that then - still learning

Ana Tue 25-Oct-16 16:24:33

As Annie is a Christian and a pacifist, I doubt she'd find it funny either.

nigglynellie Tue 25-Oct-16 16:21:39

No, I can assure you that it wasn't meant to be funny!

Rigby46 Tue 25-Oct-16 16:17:07

nn I thought it was quite funny - I'd half expect ab to say that herself. From what I've read, she's no fan of JM and JC

nigglynellie Tue 25-Oct-16 16:05:25

Another unnecessary pop at ab. Honestly dj that's really unpleasant, even for you.

Whitewave, who do you think leaked that document and why?

"The briefing, marked “sensitive: for internal use only”, was accidentally published on a government website and says that a continuing run of “disappointing data” is leading to “slow deficit reduction”. It was likely intended for ministers and Treasury civil servants, and it states that: “For the year to date the deficit is £2.3bn lower than last year; at a fall of 4.8%, well behind the 27.0% reduction forecast.”

durhamjen Tue 25-Oct-16 15:20:25

By the way, UK in a changing Europe is a very informative website - for those who trust experts.

durhamjen Tue 25-Oct-16 15:16:05

Okay, then. I thought it was a response to a direct question about support for the Green Party.

If a new runway was needed anyway, which I disagree with, why does it have to be London? What about the Northern Powerhouse?

This is about Brexit.
Brexit is about Europe, not just Britain.

ukandeu.ac.uk/brexit-is-about-europe-not-britain/

I like his first paragraph.

Jalima Tue 25-Oct-16 14:27:50

My green credentials are quite okay, thank you,
I thought that sounded prickly, well perhaps 'defensive' would be a better word.
Apologies if it is not.

durhamjen Tue 25-Oct-16 14:20:42

Not being prickly. Just answering honestly, as I thought you would want. Sorry for doing so now. Being prickly now.

Jalima Tue 25-Oct-16 14:18:24

Don't be prickly - it is an obvious question to ask posters who are taking the mickey out of Boris and his stance on the 3rd runway if they are in favour or not themselves.

durhamjen Tue 25-Oct-16 14:17:58

Goldsmith has resigned now.

durhamjen Tue 25-Oct-16 14:17:10

I don't think McDonnell has said he will lie down in front of bulldozers. Anniebach would be first in the queue to drive it if he did.

durhamjen Tue 25-Oct-16 14:15:22

I do not support the building of any new airports.
I do not support the increase in air travel. My green credentials are quite okay, thank you, having decided over fifteen years ago that I was not going to fly again. My husband decided that as well.
When I say not going to fly again, I had only flown four times anyway.
Curtails travel somewhat as I don't go on boats, getting seasick going round a harbour.

McDonnell doesn't think it will happen, anyway.

Jalima Tue 25-Oct-16 14:11:14

That should be interesting, Johnson and McDonnell lying side by side as the bulldozers approach .....
'United We Lie'

Jalima Tue 25-Oct-16 14:09:38

Well, McDonnell is the MP for Hayes and Harlington, isn't he? within which is the village of Harmondsworth - which will be mostly demolished if the runway goes ahead.

Do you support the building of it djen? (and others?) - or do you support Boris's stance?
If you support this runway, how does this fit in with your support of the Green Party?

durhamjen Tue 25-Oct-16 14:04:37

Another thing, I looked at Zac's record in parliament, and he hasn't been doing his job very well. Voted against the Tories quite often, and didn't take part in many debates.

Jalima Tue 25-Oct-16 14:02:34

X post Ddill

durhamjen Tue 25-Oct-16 14:02:18

Here's hoping, daphne. I am well aware that Labour would stand no chance.

Jalima Tue 25-Oct-16 14:01:49

I wonder if he has written 2 speeches, one in case Heathrow is chosen, and one in case Gatwick is?
grin

Richmond Park was only created as a constituency in 1997, held by the Lib Dems until 2010.
