As I made a mistake and posted in 'Brexit, power to the people' - here is Brexit4.

I know some of you don't like 'experts' or their opinions, but I do urge all to listen to this man again, from Liverpool University, calmly and expertly explaining what the single market is, and how it does work

Or me, or anyone I know!!!!

Ana Sun 30-Oct-16 15:33:33

All this stuff about what TM said before the referendum is completely irrelevant.

She's doing the job she took over from David Cameron, who chickened out, that is delivering on the referendum result.

Ana Sun 30-Oct-16 15:30:29

I'd be interested to know what changed the minds of the 1%. It's obvious what's scared the 6% off, we hear it on here every day!

No one asked me, btw...

Quote of the week goes to Theresa May

"I think the economic arguments are clear, I think being part of a 500 million trading bloc is significant for us.... a lot of people will invest here in the UK because it is the UK in Europe"

whitewave Sun 30-Oct-16 15:23:19

I see that 6% of leave voters now regret their vote, and wished they'd voted remain. Whereas only 1% of remainers would now vote leave.

I read your link but I am confused by it's content and your post.

Are you saying the Agreement signed today can be undone?

durhamjen Sun 30-Oct-16 14:15:07

Still hopeful.
Up to now CETA has been done in secret. Now it will have to be discussed and voted on in every parliament before being ratified.
Just goes to show it is not wise to accept all we are told.

Are you really happy about the idea of our NHS being sold off even more easily to American healthcare companies, and our government being sued by companies who think their profits are being affected by government policies?

We take back control from the EU, and hand it over to the US and Canada?

POGS Sun 30-Oct-16 13:21:52

durhamjen Fri 21-Oct-16 20:14:34

"It wasn't just the Walloon MEPs that stopped CETA, it was all the Avaaz members and members of others concerned about TTIP and CETA who persuaded them that it was a bad idea. Millions of them through our MEPs who are still at work."

As there are so many threads repeating post after post I will do the same .

The Canada EU Trading Agreement has just been signed! Goes to show it is not wise to accept all we are told.

What do you think about CETA being signed off and will it give TTIP a nod and a wink for also being agreed.

durhamjen Fri 28-Oct-16 20:53:05

Wasn't Mistry overall chairman?

Welshwife Fri 28-Oct-16 19:45:26

That is the car side though - not the steel works. They are a good company to work for so I hope they survive

Tata's funding still has not been confirmed.

Great video yes - fraud yes.

durhamjen Fri 28-Oct-16 18:55:02

I don't think trading standards will touch it, though, granjura. Did you watch the video of the man trying to send it back as it had been missold to his parents?

Fraud office?

Welshwife Fri 28-Oct-16 18:53:42

As far as I am aware Tata did not have any Govt help - the pruning and tweaking products did it for them. The power station was just about ready to go when they initially said they were selling. Bit strange really as they also invested 13 million in new diagnostic equipment a few months ago.
I just hope it continues doing well as there is little other work around.

granjura Fri 28-Oct-16 18:45:23

If you had purchased anything, or any service/s - based on such lies, you'd be allowed to cancel, get a full refund, and sue too.

granjura Fri 28-Oct-16 18:44:33

a massive con trick it was indeed- with lies 350 million a day big.

Jalima Fri 28-Oct-16 18:02:32

Why do they not show up on my pc?

They look like little squares of chocolate smile

well, little squares of something shock

nigglynellie Fri 28-Oct-16 17:32:03

Best steered clear of roses!!!

rosesarered Fri 28-Oct-16 17:30:52

?????????????????
Everything seems better after a few Jalima smile

rosesarered Fri 28-Oct-16 17:29:19

Too much partisan politics on this thread and anti Brexit tired old rhetoric.

Jalima Fri 28-Oct-16 17:20:41

Sort that one out
I think I'm staying in but I will relax with a wine

MaizieD Fri 28-Oct-16 17:11:44

Probably EU regulations, Jalima, but the UK (who were, of course unable to have any influence in the EU according to the Leave campaign) blocked attempts by the EU to alter their regulations to prevent the dumping of cheap Chinese steel (which undercut steel being produced in the UK; for people who might not understand the implications of that).

Sort that one out and tell me why I don't believe pious lectures about 'governance' and governing in the interests of the UK

Fortunately for my blood pressure I'm going out for the evening
soon grin
