I see the FBI have stated that there is no further case to answer.
Will this affect the election?

@Maizie

And Prince George will have to give him a high five and greet him in his dressing gown.

Apparently the website to apply for Canadian citizenship has crashed. hmm

What a pity, the USA has an unstable narcisist as president elect. Scary for them and for the rest of the world.

annodomini Wed 09-Nov-16 10:59:56

I have resolutely kept the radio and TV at bay this morning in case they scraped up Farage for interview. That is something I do not want to hear.

Tegan Wed 09-Nov-16 10:30:53

How long will it be before his pal Farage gets in on the act I wonder? Rhinestone; I'm so sorry. I really thought your country was going to show us up in the common sense department. I just hope there isn't an increase is racist abuse etc now sad.

MaizieD Wed 09-Nov-16 09:38:05

(((Rhinestone))) Many of us feel bad for you this morning.

I am gutted to think that our PM will have to congratulate him...

Rhinestone Wed 09-Nov-16 09:23:24

I'm sick and embarrassed for my country. He will have the nuclear codes.

DaphneBroon Wed 09-Nov-16 07:57:44

Shame

Im68Now Wed 09-Nov-16 07:50:31

You mean grow up and be like you Ginny42 Never wink

ninathenana Wed 09-Nov-16 07:42:01

Some US papers are declaring him the winner even though results are still coming in.
sadsad

NanKate Wed 09-Nov-16 07:03:28

sad Worrying times. Waiting for final result.

Rhinestone Wed 09-Nov-16 02:50:50

His wife and mother and girls voted for Hillary as they said so. Bush did not vote for anyone

durhamjen Tue 08-Nov-16 23:45:35

Just been said that Bush and his wife have voted but didn't vote for either Trump or Clinton.

Ginny42 Tue 08-Nov-16 23:44:22

Im68now, when you're 69 do you think you'll be a little more mature?

durhamjen Tue 08-Nov-16 22:49:17

This is funny. But true.

'One interesting nugget from the early exit polls is the question of honesty. Trump called Clinton’s honesty into question throughout the campaign. And while 59 percent of voters say Clinton is not honest, 65 percent say Trump isn’t honest.'

durhamjen Tue 08-Nov-16 22:17:41

Colorado is also voting for universal statewide healthcare.

Eight states are voting on whether to legalise medical marijuana.

durhamjen Tue 08-Nov-16 21:04:14

Clinton wins the newspaper vote. Only two support Trump.

It's quite interesting watching the live feed. Apparently voters in Florida are voting about solar power, and who should pay what. Other states are voting for different things. Some states are voting for their governors.

durhamjen Tue 08-Nov-16 20:32:21

It's Eastern time it starts so it's four hours behind us.
The first results start at 11 p.m. That's when 538.com starts again, 7 p.m. their time.

That's the live feed, although I might just go to bed and have 130 freeview on.

annodomini Tue 08-Nov-16 20:23:46

On tenterhooks. An American friend, who had to queue for 2 hours to vote today, says the pundits are cautiously optimistic for Hillary. Here's hoping.

Rhinestone Tue 08-Nov-16 19:39:45

We can usually tell by midnight.

merlotgran Tue 08-Nov-16 19:29:55

GOOD LUCK AMERICA.....You may need it!

MaizieD Tue 08-Nov-16 19:22:20

Tegan,

BBC website says results start at about 5.00 a.am Wednesday. It's not clear if that is when they start trickling through or whether that is The Result.

I'd try for a good night's sleep grin

Tegan Tue 08-Nov-16 19:12:07

At what time will we know the result? [so I don't have to stay awake all night; although I doubt if I will sleep much no matter how hard I try].

durhamjen Tue 08-Nov-16 19:03:52

For you, Maizie. I do hope they are correct, as they are giving the Democrats control of the Senate, too, something Obama did not get.
