I've just discovered Dan Jarvis MP.

Anniebach Wed 30-Nov-16 20:44:55

Corbyn turns up for PMQ, he doesn't give live interviews, or get out on the hustings, thank heaven, a couple of questions on Today and he would squeal - you are harrassing me . That was so embarrassing, I cringed

durhamjen Wed 30-Nov-16 20:53:25

Corbyn was out on the hustings lots of times. You complained about it at the time.

Anya Wed 30-Nov-16 21:06:50

Hustings don't count.

Anniebach Wed 30-Nov-16 21:07:19

No Jen he was not, he appeared at rallies set up by momentum or in meetings srrsnged by momentum , you will deny this but it is true . How come these meetings were not televised? It was one big planned fix and shame on him.

He is too weak Jen , can you name one party leader who on being asked politely by a female reporter one question on an election next year squeals - you are harassing me - whilst a woman puts a file against the camera lens ? He then ran to the next room and stood behind glass watching. You think this is normal behaviour for a man who wants to be PM ? He will not give a live interview , wouldn't appear on tv through the Brexit campaign . I am baffled how you defend this behaviour Jen .

Interesting article by Jon Cruddas. Worth a read.

Annie, posters would have to be permanent wearers of blindfolds not to realise that you hate Corbyn. The problem is that he's been voted as leader of the Labour Party twice and your hysterical rants aren't going to change that.

I have some faith that there are enough intelligent Labour Party politicians who are networking behind the scenes to keep some kind of reality alive. It doesn't help that Labour is so willing to wash its dirty washing in public. The Conservatives have as much dirty washing, but they're so much better at keeping it hidden.

It matters, because I don't believe that the majority of people want a Conservative/UKIP coalition for the next decade or so.

Face reality! Corbyn isn't going to disappear overnight, so some kind of work around has to be found.

Anniebach Thu 01-Dec-16 08:29:34

Daphne, I do not hate, I do not rant and I am not hysterical. I was angry when you belittled the working class but it is your problem not mine.

The Tories and UKIP are not going to disappear over night, you should perhaps remind all who critcise them to face reality yes?

I will repeat , Corbyn will not win the next election,

rosesarered Thu 01-Dec-16 09:27:20

I don't see any hysteria DD and your use of the word is just another put down. There is a real possibility of Labour not being in power for a decade or more with Corbyn at the helm.
I think that you see this actually, although some others on here don't.

petra Thu 01-Dec-16 12:45:59

Corbyn didn't inspire much confidence in parliament yesterday. He confused the IMF with the IFS. Whoops.

Anniebach Thu 01-Dec-16 13:31:17

I don't understand the man. He has now said labours huge membership can help the party deliver campaigns to turn around opinion poll ratings .

When will he accept he as a leader has the lowest poll rating in many a year .
Campaigns will not change voters confidence in him . Yes he has a large labour member support but he needs more than this to change opinion polls

This is not a rant, just my opinion

Anya Thu 01-Dec-16 13:51:53

I see McClusky (sp?) is manoevering behinds the lines again. He is due for re-election again in 2018 but wants bring this forward to next year.

daphnedill Thu 01-Dec-16 15:10:18

I can't find any details, anya. Do you have a link? Why does he want to do that?

Anya Thu 01-Dec-16 15:19:40

I'll have a look online. It was in today's Times, but the paper version.

Anya Thu 01-Dec-16 15:30:17

Had to photo it.

Doomed to failure DJ - he obviously can't tap in the the current political climate. Yesterday's man!

Anya Thu 01-Dec-16 16:06:59

Thank goodness.

durhamjen Thu 01-Dec-16 16:09:32

Annie might join him, though.

Anya Thu 01-Dec-16 16:18:03

No chance.

Anniebach Thu 01-Dec-16 16:53:07

Correct Anya, no way. I do agree in the dangers of the far right and far left though, both are frightening

nancyma Thu 01-Dec-16 17:04:18

Of course Mr Corbyn won two elections, with the support of Momentum helped raise the membership substantially and filled the LP coffers with much needed money that's great. But the non membership electorate are neither interested or motivated by him. The Labour Party just don't seem to have, or are unable to communicate a cohesive position. One may not like what other parties stand for but most people understand what they stand for. The LP just seem to talk to each other and blame everyone else for their lamentable showing in the polls.

Whether one likes it or not in the age of Tv etc a charismatic leadership presence is necessary whether that is palatable to the current LP leadership or not. Mr Corbyn makes an ok stump speech but it hasn't really changed in the last 15 years, the PM in question time is hardly difficult to debate. If ever there was a moment for there to be a real opposition it's now and the LP aren't doing their job and they are sliding into irrelevance. It's so sad. I think it's really time to hand over voluntarily and with good grace to someone who can engage with the electorate and win national elections.

Anniebach Thu 01-Dec-16 17:55:26

I so agree nancyma , the party so needs strong leadership

petra Thu 01-Dec-16 20:15:58

I see on the news tonight that President Hollonde isn't going to run in the French elections. He's seen the writing on the wall, hasn't he?

Anniebach Thu 01-Dec-16 20:49:59

Seems so Petra,

Anniebach Sat 03-Dec-16 09:45:19

Watching the morning news. Corbyn going to Czechoslovakia, he was surrounded by those women again . Worrying

grumppa Sat 03-Dec-16 10:01:14

Since Czechoslovakia no longer exists, this is typical Corbyn. Perhaps he means the Czech Republic.
