What a great human interest story! Thank you, Elegran for informing us of the outcome.

The mystery has been solved

Yes, that sounds most likely Elegran.

If the seller knew nothing about that particular camera (or cameras in general) he or she probably had no idea it contained film.

Maybe it was from someone who bought in bulk, or a house clearer.

I saw this on Facebook, Elegran. Silly question perhaps, but did the seller not know that the roll of film was in the camera, or who he bought it from? confused

Can you n help? A photographer has found a roll of film inside a camera he bought online, and is looking for any information about the images. There are contact details for anyone who can help return the photos to the family.

They show wedding photographs, a cottage and garden, and a woman with three small children under a tree in a garden. Someone who saw the photographs thought the hotel where the wedding photos were taken could be at Gretna.

The camera is a Balda Baldix camera he bought from an online seller near Birmingham.

There is a shot of a car at the wedding, probably an Austin Maxi, registration number OMS 560M - which would have been registered in the Stirling area in 1973 or 1974.
