This is one fact that cameron's government did.

We have fire stations but they all had to be cut. What the government did was decide that a "fire death" was only on site, a person that died once in hospital wasn't a "fire death' at all. Really? The NHS is at breaking point, why? it can't possibly be because we have mass immigration? No of course not.

Not on and will not be done.

In which case no-one will want to trade with us because we're not to be trusted.

I'm afraid that the only 'power' the working class have is to withdraw their labour. The British have, on the whole, not done this for many years and even the 'working class' disapprove of those who do.

Americans are even less likely to do this as they are even further to the right than the British and seem to see unionised labour as the spawn of Satan.(Our US friends might put me right here; happy to be corrected if need be; this is just my impression)

The other alternative is Revolution. Funnily enough, revolutions are usually led by the middle classes and generally end in some sort of bloodbath before a ruling Elite emerges. The working class usually end up very little better off than before the revolution; they just have different masters..

Classic theories of Power culminate in the 'winners' keeping control by the use, or threat, of force. Not a pretty prospect.

Mind you, if they want money then Im prepared to throw them a fiver to make them go away. Imagine how many fivers that would be throughout England. I may even up it to a tenner.

We owe them nothing Maizie. They want money from us to leave. Not on and will not be done. The EU has done nothing for us as a country, nothing.

From what I've read we appear to be in line to owe the EU about £60 billion when we leave. That's just over 6 year's worth of contributions at the current rate. Then there is the possible cost of access to the bits of the EU that we like (if we manage to negotiate that, which is looking less likely) And whatever May promised to Nissan to keep them over here, plus whatever other industries demand.

I think it will be quite some time before any of the money 'saved' from our EU contribution (which is about 1% of our national expenditure) will be put to 'better use'. Apart from tax cutting for the rich and for corporations.

Did they? I think you again underestimate peoples capacity to really see and understand what is going on. Making a mockery of anything is not the way to go really is it, mockery is, when all said and done carried out by people that think they are better than others.

Well still I was never tempted to take that slogan literally but clearly many of'the gullible' did!

the old established and labour industries like mining, car manufacturing have been superseded by new technology and robots do many of these jobs previously carried out by the working classes.

Not as much as you think although its undoubtedly how things are going. The countries that will successfully produce cars in the future though will not be those that have allowed their industries to die, but those that have protected their industries during the transition.

Non democratic societies like China are well placed to do this.

Industry changes as do demands. I know what he meant when he said these things, sadly most just want things to stay the same instead of embracing what this could actually mean. Life for me over the last 10 years became sadder and sadder. I watched many a working class good business go under due to the influx of immigrants doing jobs cheaper and cheaper whilst living 10 a room and sending all their earnings back to where-ever. This is what really has happened. Or are you so bloody blinkered. The living wage has plummeted to an all time low, zero hour contracts have become the norm. Do you not get it?^
