Listening, watching and reading, I would say no.

mcem Sat 18-Feb-17 20:50:52

Could I please be added to the list of those you'll notify about these scurrilous unfounded accusations?

MawBroon Sat 18-Feb-17 20:49:17

Better lucky than deluded.

Ankers Sat 18-Feb-17 20:46:45

It has been happening often. I will point it out to you as well as Ana when it happens again. Aren't you lucky.

MawBroon Sat 18-Feb-17 20:39:53

@Ankers grin

People on gransnet cannot seem to decide whether I am not very brainy or very brainy. There seems to be a gransnet split on that one
How and where, not to mention what has given rise to this imagined quandary?

Which people?
What is your criterion for being perceived "brainy"??

Jalima Sat 18-Feb-17 17:32:47

Or Humphrey Goodman
(come back Humphrey)

petra Sat 18-Feb-17 16:39:38

Ankers I didn't know what a STP was. But there was a clue in the fact that durhamjen and daphnidill were referring to them, and then in durhamjens post at 14.26 in her own words she said: All the STPs are on the map in this link
You don't have to be Sherlock Holmes to work that one out.

Ankers Sat 18-Feb-17 16:36:24

mcem! grin

durhamjen Sat 18-Feb-17 16:34:14

Lots of people are still fighting to stop the STPs, including MPs, including Tory MPs.
It's another way of Hunt passing the buck for his failures.

mcem Sat 18-Feb-17 16:34:11

I'm with ana here. I have never seen any comments anywhere that imply that ankers is 'very brainy'!

durhamjen Sat 18-Feb-17 16:29:54

I will point it out to you from now on Ana.

JessM Sat 18-Feb-17 16:25:45

I agree that it seems utterly crazy to make hospitals pay business rates.
bet they pay VAT on their fuel bills as well. The left right hand giveth and the left hand taketh away.

Ana Sat 18-Feb-17 16:22:46

Sorry, I think you're imagining things. But it's not worth arguing the toss...

Ankers Sat 18-Feb-17 16:17:00

Several have gone down on both sides Ana!

Ana Sat 18-Feb-17 16:09:19

People on gransnet cannot seem to decide whether I am not very brainy or very brainy. There seems to be a gransnet split on that one!

How d'you work that out Ankers? Have any posters actually said either?

If you find tracking things down tedious, perhaps you'll hae to bite the bullet and read the damn links!

Ankers Sat 18-Feb-17 16:08:34

STP stands for sustainability and transformation plan.

It is the changes that are planned for your hospital trust or whatever it is called.

Ankers Sat 18-Feb-17 16:06:57

STPs. I have clicked on about 3 of the links. I cant work out when they are due to start.

I have to say, what has been proposed for our area looks good. Long overdo. Very good. I cant see people complaining.

inews.co.uk/nhs/cuts-changes-local-nhs-planning/
This is probably one of the best links in it.

Jalima Sat 18-Feb-17 16:05:15

www.england.nhs.uk/stps/
explains STPs
Not everything you find on google is fake news

Ankers Sat 18-Feb-17 16:00:32

While I am about it I will add that no one has to answer any of my posts.
I am not at all sure why some posters do, and then complain about it.

Ankers Sat 18-Feb-17 15:56:52

I dont/didnt know what an STP is/was.

Also, with links, personally, I mainly just look at the blue words and decide when to click.

People on gransnet cannot seem to decide whether I am not very brainy or very brainy. There seems to be a gransnet split on that one!

But I do sometimes think, in some ways at least, I am like a lot of posters on here.

I cant believe that very poster clicks on every link by a long way.

So can I make some suggestions please?

When the blue words are not very explanatory, a tiny explanation of your own would/might help a lot.

When there is no clue as to what an STP or whatever is, it would be nice if it was said[but there again, you couldnt expext anyone to keep repeating what it means along a thread].

And, if I am like some posters, then trying to track down stuff often is tedious.
So if someone has found it already, then all to the good.

Obviously, no one has to take the slightest bit of notice of any of this. I shall await the flak!

durhamjen Sat 18-Feb-17 14:26:38

They don't need to look very hard now, though, daphne. All the STPs are on the map on this link.

inews.co.uk/nhs/happen-nothing-done-prepare-nhs-future/

Perhaps whoever asked for the links is reading hers at this very moment.

daphnedill Sat 18-Feb-17 14:21:08

Very possibly. Mine was quite hard to find.

daphnedill Sat 18-Feb-17 14:20:04

Decent speech by Corbyn but what he needs to do is follow it through - and he never does. He needs to say how he would fund improvements. Sorry to say this, but people are tired of the sob stories. Some people don't even believe them, so he's preaching to the converted.

daphnedill Sat 18-Feb-17 14:15:12

Blimey dj! I don't think the person who wanted you to post links really meant it! grin

durhamjen Sat 18-Feb-17 14:14:47

Are we the only ones who have looked at our STPs, daphne?
