One Tory gain from labour

One lib gain

Lsbour vote down in the seven seats

Labour is now nineteen points behind the Tories

I have started working fir the May elections, this town is Labour controlled,
We fear we will be lucky if we hold two seats and reports I have had from the constituency seems there will be few labour councillors after May. We are sticking to local issues but voters keep bringing up Corbyn

POGS I think there's more chance of Annie flying to the moon than not voting for Labour

Labour lost Scotland when they supported the Tories over devolution.

Corbyn did not plot against my husband and me. Tony Blair did. He took the labour party to the right and did so on purpose.
Why do you think half the membership left? Obviously it didn't bother you when he got rid of clause four. It did me, and lots of others.
Corbyn did not lose the last two elections. Blair's New Labour did.

Gordon Brown lost the election but it was Blair who lost support for the party and knew quite well he had done so. He handed Brown the poisoned chalice and nipped off to make lots of money elsewhere.
The Labour Party will only succeed now when it begins to offer a real alternative and in the last 2 elections it failed to do this. Scotland is evidence that a proper anti-austerity policy would attract votes. Those who advocate a centrist move to the right should take a long hard look at the Conservative party it has effectively occupied and colonised the centre right, in rhetoric if not in its actions.If the opposition only offers another version of the party in power that party will remain in power

Realistically though, Corbyn is not going to stop being the Labour leader anytime soon.

But the big difference is, Blair's policies proved to be an election winner.

The strange reason is I dislike liars and backstabbers , he is both, he has no guts, no principles yet is admired by some fir being a man of principle. Why didn't he leave the party in 1983 not work against the party from within.

It's not Corbyn's policies that Annie objects to, just the man himself, for some strange reason.

My husband and I were activists all that time, Annie. We joined in the mid seventies. He stood as a councillor in the early 80s, in Hampshire, of all places.
We were members in Hull, and York. Tony Blair changed my mind, just as Corbyn has done to you. My husband was still a member until he died five years ago, although he wasn't capable of helping on the doorstep.
We've stuffed envelopes and were glad to help our friends. We've suffered abuse on the streets and on the doorstep. You are not unique.

Those who like the policies of Corbyn are willing to hang on forever it seems.

Those who were party activists from 1983 would have experienced mockery and worse, verbal abuse , I cavassed in Wales and England , it was grim times. No one who worked for the party then can deny it was grim times and Corbyn was working against us and against the party and party leader , and he wants loyalty ?

Never accuse me of expressing personal abuse because I am saying what really happened . And this was a time when one would stay up though the night stuffing envelopes , no computers for twittering. It was hard work for years but we didn't give up , we fought back for fourteen years , suffered the death of John Smith but we won. We had the minimum wage, the NHS and sschools benefitted greatly, sure start, the Human Rights Act and more .

I don't think there are many people around who don't think that Corbyn is a rubbish Leader ( even if they agree with some of his policies.)So I can quite see a lifelong Labour supporter and member would be angry that he remains Leader, they can see votes leaking away if he continues with no hope of winnining a GE.

Labour activists were (and still are) pretty busy stabbing other activists in the back too!

It really isn't any wonder that many of the new members are leaving and that the party is losing voters.

Corbyn lied about traingate , lied about fighting to remain in the Brexit campaign.

Stabbed party activists in the back by running a campaign to get militants back in the party .
