People can be quick to blame Laura Kuenssberg and accuse her and the BBC of pro-Tory bias, but according to Philip Johnstone (political commentator) today

It is clear to all that Corbyn missed several opportunities to let the Government Front Bench "have it with both barrels"or so it seems. Even Labour MPs were talking about missing open goals, and that the Tory backbenches have provided a more competent Opposition, at least in this instance, than the Labour Front Bench.

It didn't need 'the media' to see that Corbyn did badly at PMQ's yesterday, it just needed eyes to see and ears to hear.

good, as in yes Corbyn or was it the Labour Party or some other Party or the general public, or friends of the people in the Tory party made the Tory party change their minds. Good that is if the changes were good for the country.

But some? of them were only plans? Isnt that partly what happens nowadays, a Party starts talking about plans, gets everyone talking, and then they go from there? See what the general public/voters think?

The articles I have read think he did a reasonable job, but you wouldn't think so from some of the comments on here.

durhamjen - I think blaming the mainstream media is part of the problem - it stops those who support the Labour party front bench from addressing the inadequacies of their performance. Much easier to blame "the media".

To GG, I really have no wish to reply to you but I think you need to learn something. You claimed I was happy, no, I am devasted , something you wouldn't understand, a party I hsve been loyal to through good and bad times, which I hsve worked hard for for over fifty years , wept when it has lost, rejoiced when it has suceeded, been angry with and proud of . Day by day I am watching this party being destroyed by s group of people who are not fit to wipe the shoes of those who hsve gone before them, true lsbour party leaders and members .

To get back to the title of the thread "Labour Now" - as a voter with no political allegiances but a voter who wants a strong effective opposition to whatever party is in Government - not for idealogical reasons but merely to ensure the ruling Government is competent - I look at the weakness of the opposition front bench - they are ineffective. I despair. I cannot imagine Jeremy Corbyn as a Prime Minister or John McDonnell as a Chancellor - not one of them (maybe, maybe, perhaps Keir Starmer) has the authority or even looks like a future Secretary of State. The best intervention at PMQs today was from Yvette Cooper from the backbenches. Corbyn was thrown off balance (yet again) by an unexpected announcement - he cannot think on his feet - it is embarrassing. Can anyone really think he could run this country? Good grief - the man is a nightmare - but for the Tories he's a dream.

The video was made by and ' released to the media ' by Corbyn at his behest. He was perfectly happy to use the media for his own purpose but it made him look pretty stupid in the end.

It was filmed by a volunteer from Corbyn's 2nd Leadership campaign wasn't it? There was ridicule in the media but he deserved it.

Do you class You Tube / Blogs etc. as the media? That's where a lot of people get their information from now.
