Not sure if these moneymen back hard brexit. They don't need to, as they get more money out of the situation as it is.

It seems to me that you have only to look at who is backing/funding the hard Brexit case, and it becomes all too clear that they do not have the UKs survival at the heart if their beliefs.

Fund managers, money men and rumoured crooks have funded Brexit/hard Brexit.

Business, and academics and most MPs fund/support soft/no Brexit, together with other folk.

It is a major battle going on.

I support those who support the UK.

I expect they all think they know better ! After all we don't need experts. It is all so very very worrying for everyone - whether or not they agree with the worries lots of us have they will experience the outcome the same as us.

Once this all goes through it is the poorest people who will suffer the most as prices rise more etc. All of it just to appease those who have always seen EU as a threat for some strange reason. Even if this train wreck is stopped it will cost UK more as they are saying there will be no rebate! They say you never appreciate what you have till it is gone!

Is it me, but I do get the impression that we are no longer hearing from Brexiters who extol,the virtues of leaving the EU. Are they falling out of love with the whole thing?

Hasn't Macron offered a sort of 6 month let out / get ourselves back up to speed clause and decide what we really want?

Why on earth don't we take advantage of that generous offer. I'm sure it could be spun to the public.

I thought it was pretty astounding though. Portillo has always been an ardent Brexit supporter.

One wonders whether they are at long last waking up to the impossibility of it all.
