Now this really be worth doing!!

Let's start with the QS.

What will be left out/watered down! Not sure how they will explain it away as it's in the manifesto. Probably say something like "Brexit and all it's complications will mean that stuff will have to be shelved"

Fox hunting - out
Triple lock - remains
Social care - out

whitewave Mon 10-Jul-17 08:02:45

Labour has a whole manifesto - perhaps they will post her a copy?

whitewave Mon 10-Jul-17 07:45:58

May has appealed to Labour for policy ideas after Brexit.

The paucity of this government is matching the level if its intellect and Mays authority.

whitewave Mon 10-Jul-17 07:38:17

maddy in what way?

maddyone Mon 10-Jul-17 00:31:38

Is Macron experienced then?

Re links:

I just copy and paste links straight into a post ww. It works every time. I don't quite understand what the problem is...

If you don't trust it you can always preview your post to make sure the link is blue and that it works.

believe.

Jalima1108 Sun 09-Jul-17 23:19:38

I still put double square brackets round it whitewave ctrl c and ctrl v - I have read you probably don't need to, but it's easy to do and it works.

Righthmm. The case sighting that Mays tie up with the DUP is unlawful is going to be filed that week I believer. It's going to be a very interesting few days.

Just as the Gina Miller brought the case against the government regarding the process of Brexit, Ciaran McClean is now bringing a case - with the backing of crowd funding, against what he describes as fighting this unlawful action by our Government in buying the DUP votes to keep it in power, a move that is in direct violation of its rigorous impartiality required by the Good Friday Agreement

They are crowd funding to put the case forward.

Indeed DJ, at least Merkel isn't afraid to stand up to the odious Trump, and Macron just politely sniggers at him. May sems to be the only one to take him seriously enough to toady to him. If I was in that room, with all those people, and had to jump to one side of a line; one side was Trump and the other was experienced world leaders, I would know which side of the line I would be on. She is starting to look like a rabbit startled in the headlights.

durhamjen Sun 09-Jul-17 14:54:43

Still hope, Gill. I've seen lots of mentions of the G19.

GillT57 Sun 09-Jul-17 14:15:02

i had hoped that there was going to be a massive united front presented against Trump at G20, something along the lines of 'as you are rejecting the Paris Agreement on climate change, we have ALL rejected trading with USA'. Otherwise what is the point of these agreements? And while we are on the subject, I do not want any of their chlorine washed chicken or antibiotic riddled beef, and neither does the EU which does not permit the meat produced in USA to be imported into Europe. May is showing herself to be weak in content but shrill of voice, a most unappealing combination.

whitewave Sun 09-Jul-17 13:19:34

Undoubtedly TTIP will be insisted on by Trump. Bang goes the NHS.

whitewave Sun 09-Jul-17 09:58:31

Oh!!! Jerome o !!!!! I will give it a go -don't hold your breath though

Welshwife Sun 09-Jul-17 09:26:03

What I have to do is to email the link to myself and then copy and paste that - it blues automatically then!

whitewave Sun 09-Jul-17 09:14:50

Bum - I've just taken extracts from that on the remain thread as I don't know how to blue things!!!

Can be easily said twice though

Welshwife Sun 09-Jul-17 09:04:04

Just read this article

whitewave Sun 09-Jul-17 08:25:09

I read in anticipation what May had to say to Trump about his remarks about Sadie Khan and Trumps rejection of climate change.

She had singled strongly that both would be raised by her at their meeting.

So what did she say

ZILCH.

She simply tittered in delight at Trumps promise of a trade deal coming "very, very quickly"

God how gullible can one woman be?

Welshwife Sun 09-Jul-17 08:24:30

It will be very difficult for UK to get its reputation back as being a tolerant country - and it will be very hard to stop the hate crimes etc unless there are strict rules and more law and order. People seem to think that 'free speech' means they can say exactly what they like no matter what it unleashes.

As for Banks and his cronies - money talks - however it was obtained.

whitewave Sun 09-Jul-17 08:01:45

Still lots of leadership plotting going on. Now Davis is being suggested. grin oh yes what a good idea. He was rejected once as being unsuitable, they are really scrapping the barrel now.

I suspect though that May will be stuck with the job unless she says "sod it" as no one would be mad enough to take the rap for Brexit.

whitewave Sun 09-Jul-17 07:55:45

The Independent

Race hate and religious crimes are the highest ever recorded since the referendum vote.

This vote unleashed more than insanity, it unleashed the most undesirable in our society as well.

How can we put this genie back in its bottle?

whitewave Sun 09-Jul-17 07:49:52

An article in the FT suggests that Davis is being unduly influenced by Aaron Banks over Brexit.

If he is being influenced by such spivs as Banks, I think it is very worrying, as Banks' contacts and stable mates are undesirables.
He has threatened more than once to let lose the "dogs" and cause total civil unrest if Brexit should for any reason fail.

whitewave Sun 09-Jul-17 07:43:42

Observer

Robert Quick Britains former counter terrorism chief, has stated that government cuts to police funding are having a damaging effect on the British first line defence against terrorism.

whitewave Sun 09-Jul-17 07:30:21

I was watching May dreadful performance at the G20 and thinking of how she performs, both intellectually and socially as a PM

I don't think that we have ever had such a poor PM comparing her to the last 40+ years.
