Now this really be worth doing!!

Let's start with the QS.

What will be left out/watered down! Not sure how they will explain it away as it's in the manifesto. Probably say something like "Brexit and all it's complications will mean that stuff will have to be shelved"

Fox hunting - out
Triple lock - remains
Social care - out

grin I would.

I really do hope the queen wears that nice blue hat every time she has to meet TM.

whitewave Fri 23-Jun-17 18:22:28

How's the DUP talks going?

Didn't May assure the Queen that she could form a majority government with the DUPs support?

Was that a case of wishful thinking or a lie?

whitewave Fri 23-Jun-17 18:20:35

Something else the Tories have cocked up -Hinckley Point

Is there anything they do that isn't a shambles?

durhamjen Fri 23-Jun-17 17:49:09

However, even if they are missing from the Queen's speech, they could still be going ahead.

Apparently the Tory manifesto has disappeared from their website.
Never mind. Here's ten promises that will not be kept.

Damian Green needs to shut up, too.

whitewave Fri 23-Jun-17 16:45:33

Extraordinary woman!! Even the EU are beginning to learn that she is somewhat economical with the truth.

durhamjen Fri 23-Jun-17 16:40:05

I saw it as well. I hope something comes of it.

Did you also hear the police nail May's lies about the budgets being protected?

politicalscrapbook.net/2017/06/top-cops-nail-tory-lie-that-police-budgets-are-protected/

Rigby46 Fri 23-Jun-17 11:28:26

Yes I did GG what a bunch of charmers all those involved are. Loved the woman and her trenchant comments

GracesGranMK2 Fri 23-Jun-17 10:21:17

Did anyone see the piece on Channel 4 last night about the set-up the Tories had in Wales which purported to be a standard call centre.

Revealed: Inside the secretive Tory election call centre

durhamjen Thu 22-Jun-17 21:42:26

Others are following it, GracesGran.

kittysjones.wordpress.com/2017/06/22/judicial-review-rules-benefit-cap-unlawfully-discriminates-against-lone-parents/

Tens of thousands. The government is going to appeal, surprisingly!

GracesGranMK2 Thu 22-Jun-17 20:40:30

Blow for government as High Court rules lone parent benefit cap is illegal

You may have put this on Jen but it will be an interesting one to follow. Apparently the numbers it affects are pretty low but this is a very vulnerable group.

durhamjen Thu 22-Jun-17 20:36:02

Good that Channel4 did that, but the Canary, one of Goves go to sources for left-wing news, said that they were doing it at the last election.
Anyone know what's happened about McKinley, the Tory who is being investigated for electoral fraud? He is an MP again.

durhamjen Thu 22-Jun-17 19:44:55

I hope they can't get away with this, either. Coincidence, or what?

www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2017/jun/22/government-backed-red-tape-group-eu-fire-safety-rules-grenfell-fire

We will need to keep a watch on the Repeal Bill. There must be a group which is watching which laws they want to get rid of.

I am surprised the stress hasn't caused May to have problems with her diabetes.

whitewave Thu 22-Jun-17 19:39:00

They surely can't keep getting away with it?

durhamjen Thu 22-Jun-17 19:36:06

They said that the candidates did not win, but do not know what effect it had on the other candidates votes.
It's illegal, anyway. Looked like May was involved, too.

whitewave Thu 22-Jun-17 19:34:09

Did this illicit canvessing work? With the result being so marginal, this is a serious issue indeed.

Criminal offence.

durhamjen Thu 22-Jun-17 19:32:34

After the Welsh. They probably thought nobody would be interested.

durhamjen Thu 22-Jun-17 19:26:09

Good old channel 4 news again.

whitewave Thu 22-Jun-17 19:25:45

I suppose the usual denials will come out.

whitewave Thu 22-Jun-17 19:22:27

Oh!!! Yet another Tory scandal, fiddling in THIS election -will it ever end?
