Now this really be worth doing!!

Let's start with the QS.

What will be left out/watered down! Not sure how they will explain it away as it's in the manifesto. Probably say something like "Brexit and all it's complications will mean that stuff will have to be shelved"

Fox hunting - out
Triple lock - remains
Social care - out

By the way, the only reason that this report has been 'published' is because of EU regulations.

DUP Queens Speech on Wednesday grin

May shouldn't be the only one. I've just been reading this.

www.byline.com/column/22/article/1734

It's a report about the difference in top bankers pay and ordinary workers pay which was released last week.

whitewave Sun 18-Jun-17 08:30:24

Reports in the Sunday's that May is under existential threat.

whitewave Sat 17-Jun-17 13:28:06

There is no doubt that May will be got rid of within the near future. The weird thing is that she is almost being kept prisoner in no10 until the Tory party come up with someone who might defeat Corbyn. As if she left now, and they trooped someone else into her place, that would mean that we would have an unelected prime minister, without a majority and without a mandate grin

Well said, whitewave.

You know the more i think about Brexit and the world/political events the more convinced i am that it, as well as so much else like Trumps election etc is actually entirely down to the economy, poverty and inequality along with the feeling of powerlessness.

Brexit is not the answer and never has been.

Happy Official birthday Ma'am.

Good message!!!

That is disgusting to even consider that. They rebuilt that hospital I suppose in the 60s as it was originally at Charing Cross - I would imagine at the time it was easier to access than the original one. It is such a forward looking place with so much research etc. I wonder if they have plans for the Chelsea and Westminster which is sort its sister hospital. My sister trained and worked for over 30 years there. There seems to be a mad wish to interfere with things which are working well and ruin them.

durhamjen Sat 17-Jun-17 00:29:07

Four of the casualties from Grenfell are in Charing Cross hospital.

What perfect timing. Closure of a hospital is just what London needs.

I think there ought to be a prize for the first time May answers a question. You must provide evidence so that it can be judged as a reply.

Mays mantra "just about managing" has become her life style choice.

2Tory PMs have gone to the country purely for party political purposes and have left this country weak and unstable

Blimey Michael Portillo him of the arch right Brexit supporting loons

There isn't a single suitable candidate to replace May except Ruth Davidson. All the rest are totally unsuitable.

He says May will be gone before October

whitewave Fri 16-Jun-17 19:29:07

Well Maybot was given a second chance we were .told. Well, fallen at the first hurdle - will they get rid of her now?

whitewave Fri 16-Jun-17 19:12:17

Watching David Lammy - oh I so agree.

durhamjen Fri 16-Jun-17 17:58:12

Definitely need to get rid of this government.

I have just been sent this by 38degrees.

'Health Minister Jeremy Hunt is about to sign-off secret plans to force changes to local NHS services. And it's all just to cut costs. The plans could mean cuts to hospital beds, making waiting times longer, and cutting NHS staff. [1]

The plans - called a "capped expenditure process" - are being finished right now. Because the plans are secret it's hard to say exactly which services could be at risk. But the scale of the threat is clear - NHS bosses have been told to 'think the unthinkable' for these plans. [4] No wonder Jeremy Hunt doesn't want us to see them!"

The best way to stop these cuts is to get them out in the open and demand that our NHS is funded properly. So please can you sign the petition now, demanding that Jeremy Hunt publishes these plans for local NHS cuts? It only takes 30 seconds to add your name:'

If you disagree with the NHS being treated this way, please go on 38 degrees and sign it, and post it on facebook, etc.

I had an email from 38degrees after the 1922 committee meeting telling me that the group had been mentioned but was going to be ignored.

whitewave Fri 16-Jun-17 16:21:32

He got voted out and May bunged him back into government -it shows she doesn't care what the electorate thinks - that is until she is forced to.

durhamjen Fri 16-Jun-17 16:12:46

Devongirl, her new adviser is implicated. Barwell was housing minister. I wonder what he feels like now.

durhamjen Fri 16-Jun-17 16:11:35

Environment?

www.globalcitizen.org/en/action/set/call-on-michael-gove-to-fight-food-waste/

Food waste? Not sure if Gove will take any notice of this in his new environmental zeal, but we can but try.

devongirl Fri 16-Jun-17 15:29:11

dj - if only. I don't know what excuse can be made for her behaviour re. the fire and not talking to survivors, because her 2 advisers are no longer there to take the blame; hubby perhaps?

GracesGranMK2 Fri 16-Jun-17 14:20:01

I think you are right whitewave.

durhamjen Fri 16-Jun-17 12:01:23

I don't think we should stick with a Tory government just so they can get the flak for a bad Brexit, so I agree with you, GracesGran.
We need the legal minds in the Labour team to sort things out, so we get the best Brexit we can, if we have to.

Perhaps May will resign now, after criticism of her handling of the fire.
