I thought I would start this thread to enable those who are enthusiastic Brexiters, to educate us Europhiles and show that our worries are silly and uniformed.

We hear so little from you, except to criticise our worries.

We have so many threads about the negative effects why not have one which shows the positive effects that leaving the EU will come about?

May still making friends.

Try not to show yourself up, petra.

durhamjen
Are we talking about Libertys in Regent Street?

durhamjen Thu 07-Sept-17 22:19:16

"This summer, Liberty’s client John Walker secured equal pension rights for LGBT couples in the UK Supreme Court based on part of EU law that requires equality. Without that right, and the ability to go to court and enforce it, UK law would have let private companies go on denying couples full access to pensions simply because they’re gay. But the Bill expressly denies the right to rely on principles of EU law, such as opposing discrimination – leaving John and others like him without remedy against unfair treatment. "

A law that Mogg voted against, and could change if he becomes PM.

3 children abandoned by their parents and in urgent need of care is anything but boring dj. Especially when it's something that you actually have responsibility for, rather than just reading about it on the internet.

durhamjen Thu 07-Sept-17 21:39:50

Were you not booooored, darnsalf?

Everything else seems to bore you.

norose4 Thu 07-Sept-17 20:21:11

Girls please ,I'm sure we all worry about our own problems & world problems, very sad if we get into petty disagreements about whose got the worst ones to contend with .

Darnsarf Thu 07-Sept-17 20:08:34

I've been in meetings about child adoptions and fostering today dj.

durhamjen Thu 07-Sept-17 19:58:40

I've spent most of the day mulling over other worse things.
I've been looking at stuff to do with Yemeni children, and how they are dying by the thousand because of us selling arms to Saudi.
I've been watching the hurricanes, and worrying over people I know living in Florida, as well as all those people having their houses smashed like cardboard.
I have been looking at Unicef, and what they are doing in South Sudan.
I have been worrying about World War 111, having read Harry Leslie Smith's article.
I have been reading about floods killing over 1000 people in Niger, Nigeria and Sierra Leone.

And all this time trump still insists there is no climate change, even when ships can go across the Arctic without icebreakers for the first time ever.

Don't worry, I have enough pressing things for me to mull over.
What have you been mulling over, darnsarf?

durhamjen Thu 07-Sept-17 19:48:32

And she has been known to tell lies, GracesGran, and suppress other facts that do not suit her agenda.
I bet Osborne agrees with Cable.

If it's not true, all she has to do is show us the reports, treat the ordinary voters like they are grown-ups and capable of making decisions about the truth and lies.

Darnsarf Thu 07-Sept-17 19:46:29

Why always so angry aggressive and damned rude dj? Just because others are able to argue with you doesn't mean that your posts always have to be so vile does it? You are wrong sometimes and you really should be able to accept that. smile

norose4 Thu 07-Sept-17 19:46:00

I think Whitewave that possibly there aren't any positives for them to tell us about , just saying ?

petra Thu 07-Sept-17 19:44:44

durhamjen
I prefer to say: twisting the truth to suit his own agenda.

petra Thu 07-Sept-17 19:39:09

Darnsarf
Please please give us something else to chew over because this one, and the other one is getting soooooo boooooring.

GracesGranMK2 Thu 07-Sept-17 19:38:28

The article doesn't surprise me Jen. Her tendency is to override proper government and suppress reports. I wouldn't trust her as far as I could see her.

durhamjen Thu 07-Sept-17 19:35:23

So you are calling Vince Cable a liar, are you, petra?
You were in on all the meetings, were you?

durhamjen Thu 07-Sept-17 19:33:58

So what are you doing on this thread, then, darnsarf?

petra Thu 07-Sept-17 19:33:29

durhamjen
Your link was absolute BS. In fact, most of the comments on that piece think the same.

durhamjen Thu 07-Sept-17 19:33:01

Security of Britain's borders on channel 3 now.

Darnsarf Thu 07-Sept-17 19:27:50

Such faux outrage for so little from some of you! It must be a slow day in the news if this non event has got you hoiking your judgey pants up to your navels! There are more pressing events happening in the world for you to mull over you know. grin

durhamjen Thu 07-Sept-17 19:21:45

I thought she'd gone to Japan to be reprogrammed!

lemongrove Thu 07-Sept-17 19:19:36

As she has just said whilst in Japan she is here for the long haul, and there is no appetite for replacing her.

lemongrove Thu 07-Sept-17 19:18:34

Hardly!

www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/politics/theresa-may-immigration-studies-suppress-uk-workers-wages-jobs-vince-cable-prime-minister-liberal-a7932001.html

9 reports to show that immigration had little effect on the UK, and May suppressed them all.
I wonder if her big announcement in two weeks time is another election. She could be stepping down, with all that is going wrong for her.
