It is shocking! I have watched it a few times and cannot see for the life in me why! he had to do it...he had already passed a man and made no attempt to push him! the lady wasn't even in his way, he the swine(could think of a few more choice words for him) deliberately veered towards the woman and pushed her theres no question about it. I hope he is named and shamed...nasty piece of work...and thanks to the quick reaction of the bus driver her head was saved from being crushed under the wheels!! shocking!

don't know how to do links (must learn) hmm

I think he has been found and arrested.
This seems to have been reported on the BBC and around the world but not UK newspapers and I don't seem able to do a link at the moment.

He was arrested and released according to one report so he is still out there.
It all sounds very odd.

Agree with everything above. But it happened in May. Why are they only releasing video now?

Alima Fri 11-Aug-17 09:33:09

The video of this is still on the BBC news website. I cannot do links either!

The fact that he was released doesn't mean it wasn't him. Could be that in Chelsea he has a good lawyer and the clout that wealthy people often have.

I found more links now, I was beginning to think it was some media mogul jogger suppressing the news.

I hope that the right link

I saw a suggestion (probably from him) that she tried to trip him up - can't see it myself...

I watched the vid a few times last night. The jogger ignored a man who passed him who was on a 'walkway' but pushed the woman who wasn't on it onto it ( and also into the road)
The bus driver was a marvel to avoid her.
So, was the 'walkway' for pedestrians and the path a cycle path or for joggers?
Watch the vid and you will see what I mean.

Either way it was an assault and could have had fatal consequences.

Some banker guy has been arrested in Chelsea, but released without charge, allegedly he can prove chapter and verse he was in America at the time of the incident.

The bus driver should indeed be congratulated. There is such an aggression with some people, the lycra clad cyclists can be bloody awful at times, those I know who work in central London say some of them are a complete menance. Of course some cyclists certainly suffer at the hands of motorists, but equally pedestrians suffer at the hands of cyclists, who as we know are not adverse to jumping red lights.

Recently returned from Copenhagen where true to it's image, cyclists are everywhere, the would be "Tour de France" contingent were conspicuous by their absence. Everyone appeared to ride around on cumbersome old bikes, all are super courteous and non aggressive, maybe due to the fact Copenhagen is not the heaving place London is and they don't feel like trapped rats in a sewer due to the sheer weight of numbers.

Hope they catch the heartless culprit what a hero shock

roses do you mean the difference in colour of the path? If so I think it's due to light and shade. If you look at the wall of the bridge you can see a part which juts out and the shadow follows the line of it on the path. You can see how low the sun was by the shadows from the other pedestrians. It is just a walkway not one segregated into different zones.
