This as the Labour Party conference , a momentum fringe meeting.

Corbyn attended Momentum fringe invites but turned down Friends of Israel invite.

Very Donald Trump isn't it?

Daily Politics is covering the 'conspiracy' and 'media blackout' of Jeremy Corbyn receiving his unknown peace prize. Chris Williamson is such an idiot.
'Why didn't you tweet about it yourself Chris'?
'So you didn't know about it yourself then Chris?'
'None of the official Labour accounts publicised it'

He's comparing it to 'no news about Brexit'.
Excellent comparison.

I'm looking forward to the press filling up with photos of JC at his allotment. Perhaps they should start by reporting how he was booed, called a liar and heckled last night at the Jewish Labour Movement’s Chanukah party.

It happens on the political threads though, anyone even slightly to the right of centre is apparently fascist too.

Ilovecheese Thu 14-Dec-17 12:43:59

Anyone who has to resort to a comparison with the Nazis to try and make a point has already lost the argument.
That comparison was shameful.

lemongrove Thu 14-Dec-17 12:41:50

It’s true though, blackshirts did so well because the young people felt enthused, (just like Momentum) but it became more sinister and bully boy as it went along.

Anniebach Thu 14-Dec-17 12:02:31

I compared the enthusiasm of youth, listen to the words

jura2 Thu 14-Dec-17 11:48:15

Sorry- you totally miss the point. Comparing to NAZIS is different and beyond the pale - because we all knew what happened next.

Are you really saying that young people supporting Momentum are prepared to do and act as Nazis did?

Who mentionned 'bullying' here?

Anniebach Thu 14-Dec-17 11:24:52

And if my link showing how the enthusiasm and hope of the young can be used for the wrong is called bullying - so be it

jura2 Thu 14-Dec-17 11:21:23

And if my comment of 'shameful' comparison is seen by some as 'bullying' - so be it. I'd say that comparing those who support the Labour Party, Corbyn or Momentum in a way done by posting this video - IS what I would call 'bullying' and totally out of order and beyond the pale.

trisher Thu 14-Dec-17 09:35:01

Oh she's tried it before. You can only look on it as ironic that someone should post a video forewarning of the Nazis whilst decrying people as communists, when we know that communist countries and organisations lost so many of their people fighting the Nazis, and that without their contribution the war might well have been lost. Still why bother to remember the battle of Stalingrad?

jura2 Thu 14-Dec-17 09:11:26

annie - what a shameful comparison and video link, really. Which says so much more about you than about Momentum sad

Anniebach Thu 14-Dec-17 08:47:22

Awwww, a party political broadcast on behalf of the Momentum Party. grin

It is good to see such a well thought through and enthusiastic political machine called Momentum, that is willing to support such a diverse lot of political candidates.

The candidates will feel supported and have the confidence that as much as possibly can be done to help them by a largely young and enthusiastic and energetic group. They should all do well.

Well done indeed! I am optimistic about our democracy that was under so much threat by this Government. “There is (certainly) something rotten in Denmark.” But enough MPs put our country before their own self interest . I hope they will be well rewarded and respected by their constituents.

Anniebach Wed 13-Dec-17 22:11:41

No explanation as to the armed services being classed unemployed by Corbyn?

Anniebach Wed 13-Dec-17 22:10:37

You are being silly whitewave , you couldn't accept or cope with criticism no matter the subject, you stand on your - I am always right platform.

Anniebach Wed 13-Dec-17 22:08:42

Trisher, Corbyn and McDonald had no sympathy for the woman MP who receiving treatment for cancer stood down from the shadow cabinet. They sent in staff to clear her room but she had not handed in her key. Something which should not have been done. So no crocodile tears please.

lemongrove Wed 13-Dec-17 20:57:50

It’s amazing how ‘blind’ some posters are about Momentum,
I wonder if they really are though, or if it is all just an act, an unwillingness to admit how unpleasant their methods are, because Momentum promote Jeremy Corbyn.
Interesting,( psychologically).

Primrose65 Wed 13-Dec-17 20:40:57

Has anyone called Momentum a communist organisation, ww? I think you're trying to be sarcastic about posts that do not exist.

whitewave Wed 13-Dec-17 19:42:55

Shipley has picked a child poverty academic, that well known communist grin

whitewave Wed 13-Dec-17 19:41:29

York Outer candidate, doesn’t sound like a communist to me, but I’m sure annie will correct me

More Tory rebels - defeated the government. Wow!

Primrose65 Wed 13-Dec-17 19:20:04

trisher Just google 'Momentum deselecting councillors' and you'll get the idea. The list of complaints is too long to post here.

trisher Wed 13-Dec-17 19:17:07

Annie Momentum should not have the power to select or de select any MP or councillor , they already have Corbyn on a rein
Momentum are not deselecting councillors, they are complaining about local parties deselecting sitting councillors for no good reason (one of whom has been seriously ill) . Presumably you don't think it is OK for sitting councillors to be removed when they are not well.

Late last night, Jeremy Corbyn whipped his MPs to support the Conservatives on Brexit.

Last night’s vote was on an amendment that, had it passed would have protected our membership of the Single Market.

Labour let down British workers last night. This ends, once and for all any pretence that Jeremy Corbyn is fighting for us to stay in the single market.

Brexit is now a joint Conservative-Labour project – and that is a travesty.

The Conservative government is making a mess of Brexit. Incompetence, lack of preparation and, above all, disunity are leading to a weak agreement which is expensive for the taxpayer and does little to protect our interest.

There is only one party that is 100% pro-European – the Liberal Democrats.
