I know, it hardly seems possible does it but here you go.

www.nytimes.com/2017/11/27/us/politics/trump-elizabeth-warren-pocahontas-navajo.html

Not only is it another racist comment about Elizabeth Warren but to do it at an event honouring Navajo veterans would beggars belief (if it weren’t Trump that is).

Trump did include this plan in his platform for election.
He seemed to have forgotten about it until now.

Since the writer, David Rutz, quotes from Democratic Party platforms, I presume the truth of what he reports is verifiable.

That said, I did click on one of the years in red and that wasn't helpful. Might try searching under Democratic Party platform.

I thought it might be a right leaning publication, Friday.

The Washington Free Beacon is an American politically conservative political journalism website that publishes news and opinion commentary. It has a very strong right wing bias and often publishes misleading headlines that do not match the content of stories. Has been accused of publishing a completely fake stories in the past.

Wouldn’t believe anything they publish.

Aacording to this news source the last four Democratic Party platforms "have recognised" Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.

Mad, Bad and Sad for the rest of the world.
It seems like he is in the middle if his own Bizarre computer game.
If impeachment isn't in the cards then our only hope is that the men in white coats are at the ready.

Iam64 Wed 06-Dec-17 18:21:32

Put simply, Trump needs to be the top news story daily and doesn't care how much trouble he causes to ensure that happens.
varian - it is so provocative and yes could well be a way of ensuring the headlines focus on things he'd rather ignore.
Its possibly the most idiotic, dangerous thing he's done to date.

varian Wed 06-Dec-17 13:35:27

It is deliberately provocative. Is this a distraction from investigations in USA?

Luckygirl Wed 06-Dec-17 13:28:45

This idiot believes in the politics of the kindergarten. When will the world be rid of this dangerous man? I cannot believe he has taken an action that will inflame the feelings of muslims around the world.

Fennel Wed 06-Dec-17 12:57:36

As you say Lam, it would certainly put the cat among the pigeons sad.

Iam64 Wed 06-Dec-17 12:27:14

We can only hope Fennel, though my concern is could be the undoing of any hope of peace

Fennel Tue 05-Dec-17 20:25:50

I wonder if his determination to move his Israeli embassy to Jerusalem will be his undoing?

fennel listening to some pundits the other evening, impeachment seems unlikely because it needs the republicans to call for impeachment and it is thought that it will never happen.

Fennel Tue 05-Dec-17 18:09:06

I hope and pray it comes to something this time - a chance for the Americans to show they're not all as shallow and dishonest as this man and his followers.

whitewave Tue 05-Dec-17 17:58:18

I had a quiet bet with myself about who would pick that up. I so wish I’d put money on it grin

maryeliza54 Tue 05-Dec-17 17:56:50

Well GG those who can, contribute to the discussion in a meaningful way and those who can’t ..........

Rather than putting others in their place it's always worth checking. Both “Slowly, slowly catch the monkey” and ‘softly, softly catchee monkey’ are correct.

durhamjen Tue 05-Dec-17 17:46:00

Whitewave, it reminds me of my granddaughter slowly and quietly stalking a squirrel. Then a boy rushed past her and it ran away.

lemongrove Tue 05-Dec-17 17:35:25

It’s ‘softly, softly catchee monkey’ to be correct.

I wonder why it took so long. Perhaps they'll have a look at his tax record at the same time.

Interested to read that Obama strongly advised Trump not to let Flynn into the Whitehouse.

Obama is a giant compared to Trump.

The links between Russia and trump are gradually being forged. “Slowly, slowly catch the monkey”
