This is not an attack on individuals but on the ethos of conservatism. Since the war the CP has created the myth that they are competent. Recently we have seen:
Incompetence with the economy.
Incompetence with benefits
Incompetence with state pensions
Incompetence with support for business and industry via infrastructure
Incompetence in many areas with government administration
Incompetence with transport
Incompetence in the criminal justice system
Incompetence in defence
Incompetence in education
Incompetence in the NHS
Incompetence in running their own election
I am sure there are other areas. Why does anyone vote for this incompetence? Surely we deserve better?
.
I would not vote for this version of the Tories but would suggest Dominic Grieve takes over from DD.
And again, I'd urge all those who vote otherwise or who are remainers, to abstain from commenting- just listen (if I may ask, please)
There really isn't any strength in government is there. I wonder if the biggest problem is that keeping the Brexit balance that has caused her to use some real duds? I also wonder what will happen if Boris it put into David Davis's job. I wonder if I could leave the country?
Not denying that at all - asking for suggestions here, who for what post, from those familiar with the Conservative cabinet and front bench. Genuine question.
Jura, I am not a conservative voter but certaintly do not think all conservative MP's are as branded in above post. I don't think we hear enough of many MP's because the media is obsessed with the few. Majority of the opposition front bench only entered parliament in 2015 so it follows there must be fairly new conservative MP's who could be considered for a post
jura2 you don't seriously expect any Conservative supporters to answer that do you? They're all busy pretending they have always been Liberals really!
No jokes please - this IS a serious question for all Conservative supporters here on GN- who would you appoint to what? I am genuinely interested- and would ask others to listen.
They must have someone musn't they? Well I suppose when you are reduced to replacing Priti Patel with Penny Mordaunt you were scraping the barrel. What next? Any Tory MP who hasn't lied/used porn/had dodgy meetings/ avoided tax/isn't a far right loony? That cuts your choice down doesn't it! Watch out for Jacob RM stepping into the breech and the party lurching even further right.
Thanks for the link to "because of the Tories" dj What a joke!
Hope Johnson is removed as foreign secratary , but can't think of a safe place for him to do no harm
yes, exactly - if you have poor or damaged cards- you can re-shuffle all you want ...
She needs some legal expertise in the Brexit negotiations. The problem is all the legal ones voted to remain, as far as I am aware.
So- a Cabinet reshuffle is on the cards - but who and how?
DD got to go for sure, but who on earth can replace him effectively? BoJo - no way. Who is up to the job, and the other jobs too?

Apparently this was set up by the Tories to give good news.
They now wish they hadn't.
Chewbacca "sustainable" is the word. This means keeping a careful check on how much is fished and introducing cod liver oil would need an increase in fishing which would return it to under threat.
If you can provide a link to any research from "learned doctors and nutritionists" showing rickets is still just caused by sun block over use Jalima I would be delighted to read it. As it is I know that there were doctors in 2010 who saw rickets for the first time in their careers and who eventually tracked it to the over use of sunblock, but that was 7 years ago and cases are still presenting. You can't blame computer games. These are very young children with very complicated symptoms which which at first no doctor recognised because it hadn't been seen for so long.
Health screening and vaccination reintroduction would be a great step forward in TB treatment, but it would cost money. When I started teaching anyone involved with children was given a medical and a chest x ray. It wasn't considered necessary later because we thought the disease was beaten but bringing it back would be a step forward. It's unlikely to happen because this government doesn't believe in health spending.
If the cod stocks are recovering, isn't that thanks to the EU?
Not all politicians, Anniebach, not all!
Is it let's love all politicians day ?
Precisely Jalima. The figures quoted earlier showed that Bangladesh has 66,000 known cases of TB, of which, 500 were linked to HIV. Those are only the cases reported to the WHO and it is expected that their will be many more unreported cases. Many of the refugees who are fleeing to Europe are from Bangladesh and without a vaccination programme in place, either in Bangladesh, or before they enter Europe, cases of TB will continue to rise.
Too late - I answered it!
If politicians are the cause of all health problems explains why I developed acid reflux ?
I think we should all refrain from any answer to that.
I dare not say for fear of being ridiculed, but TB vaccination is not really effective for adults over the age of about 35.
So if a programme were to be re-introduced it would have to be for babies, children and young adults.
Perhaps articles in the Guardian should not be taken as absolute fact without also reading reports by learned doctors and nutritionists.
Anniebach some of them are enough to cause involuntary regurgitation.
Way back in 1966 we married and went to Italy for our honeymoon. We had to have a current certificate of vaccination against Small Pox with our passports because a few countries insisted on this for British entrants to their Country following an Outbreak in Birmingham due to a leak from a Research Lab.
We accepted that this was necessary, if a bit OTT and that other Countries had a right to protect their citizens in this way. Perhaps it is time to reintroduce compulsory vaccination for TB in the interests of Public Health?
