This is what Nick Clegg said about Knighthoods in July.
Thanks for the kind petition to put me in the Lords, but I'm afraid an unelected chamber is not for me. Ermine isn't my colour

I should think whinging is a good way NOT to get it! Ever.

FarNorth Tue 26-Dec-17 13:51:48

Surely one is meant to be thrilled and honoured if one is given a knighthood, not whingeing if one isn't given it.

Fartage is going to blow a few fuses- after all his whinging that Brexit has cost him a knighthood (?!?) - now that Nick Clegg is going to get his. Wonderful.

I realised that, jura, but it did show it was a link to the charity, and NOT for Farage.

This is good.

Absolutely not. A horrible man and a hypocrite.

Thanks dj - unfortunately it does not contain the hilarious video begging for money to help poor poor bullied Nige ;)

FarNorth In short, no.

AlieOxon Sun 24-Dec-17 18:29:29

Poor little man.

FarNorth Sun 24-Dec-17 18:08:36

tchconfused

Won't he get a knighthood, once we all see what a great thing for the UK Brexit is?

jura2 Sun 24-Dec-17 15:28:53

Poor lite mite is now complaining he has missed out on a knighthood because of Brexit.

I do wish I could play the violin ...

jura2 Thu 21-Dec-17 15:44:52

so sorry the link is not working.

I suspect he is finding life dull now that the campaign is over and will be looking for ways to get back into the news on a regular basis. I think he is an Adrenalin junkie.

Watch the video -

and please contribute to the great cause, the one behind, the real campaign for cancer victims. So worthwhile and now - somehow doubly so.

Perhaps he could get together with Lily Alan they seem to have similar ' problems '.
It's all relative I suppose.

Apparently his London home is worth 4 million- that really is scraping the barrel if one is reduced to living in such circumstances.

FarNorth Sun 17-Dec-17 09:48:21

He could go and live in an area which has a majority of Brexit supporters. That should be nice for him.

One feels so insecure when one gets down to one's last few million, I find.

whitewave Sun 17-Dec-17 09:35:56

Banks bankrolls him as well and is threatening to reawaken the hardline Brexit campaign, as the hardliners are losing the argument big time.

MaizieD Sun 17-Dec-17 09:35:44

It couldn't be happening to a more deserving guy grin

M0nica Sun 17-Dec-17 09:35:01

Impoverishment is harder to bear than poverty! I think as a City trader he made considerably more than he does now and did not have to pay for the support of his children.

.... and he has got to keep his name in the mews somehow!

suzied Sun 17-Dec-17 09:29:03

I think he must get more than 75k, he writes columns, has a radio show and does after dinner stuff, all quite lucrative. Gets paid as an MEP and doesn’t turn up. No violins here. Doesn’t he have some posh mews house in London worth a few mill?

jura2 Sun 17-Dec-17 09:22:10

Farage was interviewed the other day and he has been complaining that fighting for Brexit has left him broke and afraid someone will duff him up.

With 2 ex wives, 4 kids, and a mistress (and several exes)- on £75000 a year and a house valued at several million - should we all get our violins out?
