More Brexit lunacy

£490 million wasted spent on changing the colour of our passports. Which we could have done at any time in the last 30 years. Burgundy wasn't obligatory; not every EU country has a burgundy passport.

How many more £millions is this futile Brexit exercise going to cost the UK?

Somewhat ironic that the new blue is very similar to the colour of the EU flag...

durhamjen
Is that supposed to bother me ?

durhamjen Sun 07-Jan-18 22:52:12

I'll leave it up to others to read what you've said, petra, and draw their own conclusions.

durhamjen
No good you trying the guilt trip on me, won't work.

durhamjen Sun 07-Jan-18 22:24:57

Not my project fear.
GSK said they would have to do it, so they could continue paying you your dividends.
As you have indicated, you couldn't care less as long as your dividends keep rolling in.
None of the tablets I take are GSK, thank heavens, so I am not contributing, even indirectly, to your greed.

petra Sun 07-Jan-18 22:17:54

durhamjen
More project fear.

durhamjen Sun 07-Jan-18 21:18:06

So you are quite happy that GSK will stop doing so much research into cancer drugs, are you, petra?

Many of the shareholders are also employees.

They understand the implication of Brexit as far as their company is concerned.

It is a pity that other shareholders do not have the same integrity.

petra Sun 07-Jan-18 20:21:54

Whitewave
I don't give a stuff what other shareholders think, as long as the dividends keep rolling in.

whitewave Sun 07-Jan-18 20:17:01

Many of the shareholders would rather have no brexit though.

petra Sun 07-Jan-18 20:13:55

they gave shareholders an extra bonus last year
And very nice it was, too grin

varian Sun 07-Jan-18 19:09:33

I wonder whether that important information will be reported by The Sun, Express of Daily Mail?

durhamjen Sun 07-Jan-18 18:54:07

It takes some people a long time to catch up on that, whitewave.
Or maybe they just have to keep repeating the same thing until it eventually sinks in, like a mantra.

It can be revoked....it can be revoked....it can be revoked....

whitewave Sun 07-Jan-18 18:49:51

Makes headlines! SKG don’t want Brexit

By the way just seen on twitter

Germany, France and European Council have said that A50 can be revoked, as does the professor who drew the whole thing up.

So that’s that then!!

durhamjen Sun 07-Jan-18 18:37:21

I saw that, and I thought why?
Why can't it be diverted from profits?
They gave shareholders an extra bonus last year.

whitewave Sun 07-Jan-18 18:19:10

£70million!

whitewave Sun 07-Jan-18 18:17:49

SmithKlyne are diverting £90 million from cancer drug research to getting the company ready for Brexit.

Great isn’t it?

Do you think Gove will agree to this, as he wants to be seen the greenest ever?

What we know about Brexit so far.

durhamjen Sat 06-Jan-18 10:29:31

But that's only good if we haven't gone throough the pain of Brexit.

whitewave Sat 06-Jan-18 10:25:12

Yes partly, but don’t forget many young will also be voting for the first time as well. So it is a double edged sword we can swipe Brexit with.

durhamjen Sat 06-Jan-18 10:23:26

Is that assuming that all those who die of old age voted Brexit?

Here's an interesting article by Campbell.

Certain people's worst fears.

whitewave Sat 06-Jan-18 09:59:13

Just watching Newsnight.

By 2020, the demographics mean that remain will be in the majority, that is without people needing to change their minds.

Tegan2 Fri 05-Jan-18 22:25:54

Can't listen to him; judging by his name he's a pesky furriner...
