It is not given to me to start a threads on politics, I don't believe I have ever contributed to one either. However I cannot let pass the comment from a conservative councillor currently skiing in the USA who wants the homeless and rough sleepers cleared from the streets of Windsor before the wedding in May. God forbid that visitors here to see an obscene and ostentatious picture of wealth and privelage should be confronted by the "have nots" of our society.
I would think that someone who abandoned his wife and children for a younger model when the youngest child is a year old is not someone to take back for the sake of the children.
The good news is that this seedy couple have decided to split. But why does the BBC find it necessary to repeat a selection of the offensive comments at every opportunity?
I find it fascinating that DNA technology is now sophisticated enough not only to tell each of us what parts of the world we come from, but what kind of early humans we're made up from too.
Do you think some people have forgotten that Briton was at one time in history land joined to Europe, ( no need for a referendum if the sea had been a little kinder ! ) and that all humans originated from Asia? Due to global warming, fairly rapid so I understand, *Bridgeit, and I though we came out of Africa not Asia? I could be wrong.
No, you're not wrong about Bolton being encouraged to stand down. I posted about that at 21.15, so its not breaking news. UKIP are probably scraping even deeper into their barrel to find incumbent leader no. 6. Maryeliza, I'm quite happy to be "a disgrace" by your standards. Its "my* standards that count, not yours.
Sounds like Bolton's been told he has to choose between girlfriend and leadership. Of course, I only know this as I am listening to the news review on the BBC news channel. Somebody can correct me if I'm wrong. I do tend to listen to more than the first ten seconds.
Bridgeit ignorant and bigoted yes, but using blatantly racist language no. In my own mind there's a line between the two and Jo Marney's comments are over that line. For me there's also something about saying out loud what other people might think inside, but not voice. It's about degrees. Sorry, I don't know if I'm making any sense.
