"Young people are furious they were sold down the river by too many older people."
How ridiculous. What a daft thing to write.
Remain propaganda. Project Fear assumptions.
Just HOW (with facts and not gloom-ridden predictions, given we haven't left the EU yet!) have they been 'sold down the river'? All the young people in the land?
Should we start building rafts for them now?
It is laughable. Their future is as bright as it has always been. Writing as a child of the 60s and 70s and wild cat strikes, closed crematoriums and cemeteries, power going off, rubbish on the streets, parents losing jobs, the three day week, factory closures, not being able to pay the rent, going hungry etc, the face of Britain changing with every passing decade - how DARE the young tell us we have ruined their future.
We survived tumultuous times and they will too, unless of course they are so fragile it will all be too much for them. Please, someone tell this generation of young people that humans have inbuilt survival mechanisms and we CAN do hardship and we can accept change.
Europe, post Brexit will still exist. The EU might not though. That is a likely possibility.
My advice would be to roll with the punches. No one will break. No one can predict what will happen in the next 24 hours so why some posters continue to second guess life outside the EU is beyond me. Big trading deal deal made with China today, btw. Good news, eh?
