Labour have released a short film about the way the police are being starved of investment. Since 2010 May as Home Secretary has reduced the police funding by 25%. This in direct contrast to the way the previous labour government had felt that it was important to invest in local communities. A police spokesman said that the cuts in community policing are directly risking security in the community.

The Telegraph is celebrating thirty years of Matt's cartoons, with plaudits from many who have been the subject of them : Prince Philip, all the living Prime Ministers, and many celebrities. Jeremy honest but stupid Corbyn was invited to contribute; his response: none of the Matt cartoons (they) his team had seen about Mr. Corbyn was funny.
I laughed out loud, but really, what a pompous self-important prat.
And what a joyless, cheerless dystopia he and some of his more vociferous supporters on here, choose to inhabit.

If the government want to break the education based unions they won't be bothered by VC's letter sadly whitewave. We have seen all the attacks on unions before. The one thing going for them is that the government doesn't have a basic majority.

Vince Cable has written to the universities minister urging him to underwrite the universities pension scheme in order to break the impasse.

Health Minister Jackie Doyle-Price confirmed in the House of Commons that the Government will support legislation that will mean people have to opt out of being organ donors.

Members were debating the Organ Donation (Deemed Consent) Bill from Labour's Geoffrey Robinson, which seeks to introduce presumed consent in England, following moves to opt-out systems in Wales and Scotland."

This is a very good thing that both sides of the house are doing, but it does actually arise from a Labour bill.

It was a private members bill brought in by Geoffrey Robonson, labour, Coventry.
It wouldn't be going through parliament if it wasn't for labour.

The organ donor debate/readings in Parliament was not started by Corbyn, your post was rather misleading whitewave ( which was POGS’s point.)
I am all for having to opt out.

It is horses for courses. Productivity is very narrowly about measuring the economic production of the country and its productivity.

All these other things should be measured, but if I am measuring flour to make a cake I do not factor in the pleasure that I hope the finished cake will give.

If I have to have a 'point' then my point would obviously be it is not only Corbyn and it is not a new debate looking to be had.

I would have thought if the 'point' of your post was about Organ Donation and if you know it was already at the Second Bill Reading stage you would also know it is getting a Cross Party good reception in Parliament.

What was your problem in my posting for those who may be interested in the Organ Donation debate it was available to watch 'live'.?

But surely it's a consensus view ww - it's just the opposition saying they concur with the government position on organ donation? So he's not really calling for a change, he's just saying the government is changing this and we think that's the right thing to do?
