My DD has a much needed and long awaited hair appointment on Thursday grannyactivist (she will take the bus into town, sadly no stylist to come to her). She has the most crazy long curly hair that she wants to get into some order before the big push for the finish line.
gilly my daughter has been putting on full make-up every day for about two weeks - she wants to meet her baby looking her best she says. (It's really for the photographs of course.)
Anniebach Can I be the only one getting weary over the hype surrounding the royal family these days..Ok I don't have to read about or watch but just how much is necessary.? I don't give a monkey's how much Meghan's dress coat or shoes cost. Why do we have to hear the Duchess of Cambridge is in labour. I am quite happy to wait until the notice appears on the gates of the palace, it's a boy / girl/ twins ?. How many times have we to be told what position the new arrival /s will be in regards to being in line? Are we so illiterate we can't work it out for ourselves. I could go on boring everyone but a text has shown my friend is arriving to take me out for lunch.
I wish them well as I wish all potential parents well, but I really couldn't care less, sorry. And as for the press, and the breathless reporting, and all the bloody talking heads giving their opinions.....give me strength. I am off to the garden, more important things to worry about, like slugs on my new veg.
Yes I like Eleanor too. Classy sounding. I read a piece in a newspaper the other week, and according to the shape of Kate's bump it will be a boy, whereas Zara is expecting a girl.
All completely unscientific of course, but a bit of fun.
