Well, according to him, we have voted to "break up the EU"

Erm, no, the vote was just for leaving. Just goes to show how much of a grasp he has.

I despair, that such an ill informed person is in such a position

I feel sorry for the Queen, having to be polite to such a predatory, sexually assaulting, obnoxious oik.

Pathetic performance

Well! I've just watched the tv news, which shows the Queen walking along with Trump as they (presumably )inspect the troops. He managed to get in front of the Queen who walked round the back of him, back to the position she was originally. He then walked along the row of beefeaters, at a speed the Queen simply couldn't match. Even if she isn't 20 plus years older than him, she's half his height so his stride is probably one stride to two of hers. What a very ignorant man this is. even if she wasn't the queen of the country he's a visitor in, if she was simply one of our 92 year old mothers, wouldn't we all expect a man not to stride ahead. Pomp and circumstance - he's just too common for it isn't he.

Well done, your Majesty, and well done to the thousands of peaceful protesters in London and around the UK.

I wonder if we'll see a Trump tweet saying how much we love him in the UK.

Like juggernaut I am no royalist but I do admire the Queen for her sense of duty and dignity. I think it is outrageous that she had to wait so long before Trump appeared. She is 92 and it was very hot. She apparently looked at her watch while waiting. I don’t think she was too impressed either.

Sadiq Khan has also given permission for far-right demonstrations in London. We are a free speech country

The Trump blimp was paid for entirely through crowdfunding.
Sadiq Khan gave permission for it to fly, and that's the only connection he has with it.

Juggernaut Fri 13-Jul-18 18:35:01

O.M.G. I'm no royalist, but the ignorant twonk didn't even bow his head slightly when meeting the Queen. Nor did Melania, no sign of anything remotely respectful!
He was voted in, he can be voted out again, he's an absolute nobody.
And as for Melania's outfit to meet the Queen, the skirt was so tight you could clearly see her bum cheeks, revolting and very tarty! Proof if it were needed that class can't be bought!

varian Fri 13-Jul-18 18:30:43

Sadiq Khan did not spend any money on the Trump blimp.

glammanana Fri 13-Jul-18 18:29:28

Its a pity SK can't spend tax payers money on making the streets safer rather than spending money on a "blimp".
what a complete waste of money, all the protesters would do well to protest about the crime rate rather than a man who has no idea what he is talking about.

Maturing looks that is, not becoming First Lady, haha.

lemongrove Fri 13-Jul-18 15:43:59

niggly very true, like most of us on GN! grin

nigglynellie Fri 13-Jul-18 15:35:49

Yes that is true, Michelle Obama is a stunningly beautiful woman. A three ladies were/are very lovely! Mind you Nancy Reagan was a beauty in her day, but came to be the Presidents wife later on in life when her looks had 'matured'!!

notgrandma Fri 13-Jul-18 11:52:41

I thought Teresa looked just right ,well done! She must put up with the idiot in a dignified way .

HootyMcOwlface Fri 13-Jul-18 11:52:27

If he likes Boris so much, he can take him with him when he leaves. Please!

Juggernaut Fri 13-Jul-18 11:46:32

I have to disagree, Melania is a good looking woman, but as for the best since Jackie Kennedy, Michelle Obama without a doubt! Michelle is a stunningly beautiful woman!

I'm not watching the news, or looking at the papers until the sexist, racist, arrogant, pug faced, combed over, obnoxious fart has left this country, my blood pressure won't stand it!

Jane10 Fri 13-Jul-18 11:44:44

Gosh a Trump fan!

gillybob Fri 13-Jul-18 11:39:25

Police being backed up by the courts would be a great start . Instead of this softly softly “ he had a poor upbringing” approach we Brits seem to have . Plenty kids have poor upbringings, blimey my town is full of them, but they don’t go stabbing each other at random . They need to crack down on street gangs too which seems to be where most of it stems from.

gillybob Fri 13-Jul-18 11:36:25

I didn’t see the dress Melania wore upon her arrival so can’t comment on that but she normally dresses impeccably . Why drag her dress into this argument ?

Jane10 Fri 13-Jul-18 11:30:29

I agree. Trump by name and trump by nature. He blows with the foul smelling wind!

lemongrove Fri 13-Jul-18 10:45:16

We could never have relied upon trade with the US with Trump as the President, he is proving much too random and does and says everything on a whim.

lemongrove Fri 13-Jul-18 10:41:22

On Trump..... well, everybody else has already said it, so nothing much to add grin
On dress....I thought Melania’s dress when arriving ( from the plane) one of those very tight belted neutral coloured ones, was awful, but they do seem popular as so many women on tv wear them. The yellow dress she wore to the evening at Blenheim I thought was lovely.T May has an enviable figure for her age, and I liked her elegant red dress, but like other posters say, thought the split at the back went a bit too far up!

Iam64 Fri 13-Jul-18 08:53:52

Gillybob - It's central, not local government that funds the Police. The past year has seen consistent concerns expressed by chief constables and by the head of the Met about the increase in crime. They state categorically that the increase in crime is directly linked to government cuts to police numbers. Cressida Dick, head of the Met, made some comment recently in which she said it wasn't possible not to connect the rise in violent crime on the streets of London with the reduction of Police caused by government policies.

Mayor Juliani was able to fund a huge increase in police numbers in NYC. Alongside that, they dealt with any crime, from litter dropping to serious crime. This zero tolerance approach worked in NYC but was dependent on a huge growth in Police numbers and visibility.

That's what Theresa May ought to be doing. Increasing funding to the Police (and imo, to all supportive public agencies working alongside the police, health, drug/alcohol treatment, work with young people etc etc)

Jane10 Fri 13-Jul-18 08:36:09

I'd like to think that Theresa and Angela have a private WhatsApp group where they could commiserate with each other over the stuff Trump is saying about each of their countries and how they are run.
Can't understand what makes him think lots of people like him in Scotland - he's absolutely detested here!

pollyperkins Fri 13-Jul-18 08:26:34

And heaven help us if we do get Boris as PM!

pollyperkins Fri 13-Jul-18 08:25:57

The arrogance of the man is amazing! And he speaks like a complete ignoramus: re Brexit 'I told her how to do it but she ignored me' !!! He is like a dim witted big headed child. I do feel sorry for TM thpugh I'm not a fan of hers. She thought she'd sorted it at Chequers and now its all crashing round her ears a d she has to stand and be polite to this buffoon.
