With reference to your post of 17.37 Maizie there was nothing remotely hysterical in my earlier post. I was responding to jura's dramatic reference to "expats in the EU are just terrified".

We have friends in France who aren't terrified. They voted remain but told us that had they still been living in the UK they'd have voted leave. It's clear from the threads on GN that people are worried about what will happen, on both sides of the debate but IMO to speak those living in the EU's terror is an example of hysteria, as is the subject of this thread.

I haven't seen any posts on GN from leavers exhibiting hysteria, quite the opposite in fact. A lot of positive posts have been made in the last 2+ years. The endless prophets of doom come from those who voted remain.

Day6smileMr. S. is having similar conversations with friends and family members who would change their remain vote to leave. But as there wont be another referendum I suppose it doesn't really matter now, but it's good to know when we hear so much about leavers supposedly regretting their decision.

I hold my hands up Elegran, I was replying to Grandad, who was replying to your post.

iyswim.

Elegran Fri 20-Jul-18 19:42:07

"Elegran Quote [I believe there are many throughout the UK that voted for Brexit but now do no acknowledge that they did so. And for all we know, you could be one of them Grandad.] End Quote"

No, that wasn't me.

Jalima1108 Fri 20-Jul-18 19:40:06

Well done!

I won't bore you with some of my achievements though. It could take all night.

Grandad1943 Fri 20-Jul-18 19:36:23

Never worked at 7:15 on a Saturday night Lemon, where did you get that one from.

We put together one scratch team that does no mind working late or on a Saturday morning each week and I usually join them.

Tonight was important as we were making up a bundle for a court hearing on behalf of a small employer we are advising in regard to a workplace accident he is being taken to litigation for.

However we have just heard that their are now several inconsistencies in the main witness statement, so it may well be that the case will not come to court now anyway.

Great for that small business, and our efforts and late night were not wasted, don't you think Lemon

I will definitely or is that defiantly have a pint on that.

Jalima1108 Fri 20-Jul-18 19:36:18

Ooh, muffinthemoo
Norty grin

Anniebach Fri 20-Jul-18 19:35:37

Don’t ask, May have a NVQ in cookery

muffinthemoo Fri 20-Jul-18 19:32:15

I wonder what the meal is. Gammon steak, overdone?

MawBroon Fri 20-Jul-18 19:28:04

Fortunately I am neither defiant nor stressed and my mental health is impeccable. Please do not suggest otherwise or I may need to take this further.

Jalima1108 Fri 20-Jul-18 19:26:02

grin

Well, I think that shows quite a lot about an attitude towards women.

Anniebach Fri 20-Jul-18 19:23:44

I so dislike women being referred to as wags, so Sun reader talk

Jalima1108 Fri 20-Jul-18 19:21:25

Here's another comma, just to cheer everyone up:
Peace and love.

Jalima1108 Fri 20-Jul-18 19:18:47

Being a male on what can be a very sexist forum in regard to some who post on here, it is nothing different than what I come to expect.
There are other males on this forum though Grandad - none of them treating female posters with disdain.

Try it some time - you could be surprised at the response.

lemongrove Fri 20-Jul-18 19:17:18

Correction.....7.15 on a Friday night.I thought offices shut down much earlier than that.
Oops, now there will be a huge explanation of the inner workings of Grandad43’s business.....doh!

Jalima1108 Fri 20-Jul-18 19:16:11

I would call it multi-tasking lemongrove

Any female Gransnetters probably know all about that.
I can even drink a glass of wine whilst posting
And watch the tv

Clever, eh?

lemongrove Fri 20-Jul-18 19:14:37

You always seem to be waiting around for documents Grandad43 even at 7.15 on a Saturday night. hmm
And yet.....you have so much time for GN ( wonderful really)

Jalima1108 Fri 20-Jul-18 19:09:32

Well done, Grandad, your post appeared in a form of English - at least it was not in Mandarin.

Grandad1943 Fri 20-Jul-18 19:08:58

Jalima1108 definitely a superfluous comma there. Ohh very bad form, tut, tut. grin

Jalima1108 Fri 20-Jul-18 19:07:15

Sorry, Grandad, I don't have any answers because I voted Remain.

As a poster who has left the forum said - 'It depends on your attitude to risk' - not necessarily in those particular words.

Grandad1943 Fri 20-Jul-18 19:04:38

Definitely Chewbacca. Speech recognition most definitely under stress this last couple of hours.

Not bad though for a mobile version on my Huawei P20 Pro phone. I have only had it for a few days and I have to say they certainly know how to make a phone these Chinese.

Everything dictated to this forum I did not check and it seems there have been far fewer voice recognition errors than even they claim. That being 98% accuracy.

Anyway the documents we have been waiting to be transferred to us for the last two hours looks like they will not arrive tonight now. So, just sent text to all the WAGS of the team, and we are off down the pub for a meal and a pint.

So, Chewbacca you can check for errors in this post and let me know tomorrow. grin

Jalima1108 Fri 20-Jul-18 19:04:34

superfluous comma there

Jalima1108 Fri 20-Jul-18 19:04:02

Besides, I thought it was terribly Bad Form on here to point out other posters' errors in spelling, grammar etc.
Probably it is MaizieD, but it is definitely (or defiantly) against the guidelines to infer that a poster has mental health problems.

And some people with their extraordinarily patronising and humourless manner, assume far too much about other posters.

Jalima1108 Fri 20-Jul-18 19:01:18

Defiantly signs of severe stress.
It's this voice recognition technology, Chewbacca - and it's not selling itself to me!

kittylester Fri 20-Jul-18 18:56:45

But, grandad, are there any brexiteers on this thread? Or only the ones you accuse of being so?

And, you are accusing lots of us of being sexist - can you justify that or is it just because we don't agree with you - which is sexist of you in itself

jura2 Fri 20-Jul-18 18:54:13

Life is too short Grand. All the best ...
